Lets explore Maya Ruins of Altun Ha and float through caves of cave branch with a 6-hour tour from Belize City to Altun Ha and the Caves Branch River. Enjoy the plazas and towering pyramids as you visit Altun Ha archeological site with your guide, and see the precious treasures excavated from the Temple of the Green Tomb. What To Expect

We will drive for 1 hour to Visit the Maya site of Altun Ha and after we are done with the tour we then drive for about 1 hour and 20 mins to cave tubing site once there you will be tubing and underground a cave system. It will take us a 30 mins walk to get to the entrance off the caves then we float for about 35 mins in the cave and about 25 mins of open river tubing.

Let’s cut to the chase, this was a FANTASTIC tour! It started with our tour guide, Luis, picking us up from our hotel and driving straight to Altun Ha Mayan Ruins. He offered to stop for coffee but we were already so excited to start our day. Luis walked us around the Mayan ruins providing excellent information on the history of Belize and the Mayans. From there he drove us to the cave tubing site where we met our next guide, Junior. Junior, just like Luis, gave us another great tour of the caves while tubing down the rivers. After that, Luis took us to a local bar for a wonderful lunch before dropping us off at our hotel. I want to emphasize that Luis and Junior exceeded our expectations in every way. Luis was very personable, gave great recommendations, and had cold waters ready to cool us down.

This excursion was amazing! Big shoutout to our tour guide Pablo! He was really good and our entire crew loved him. He was very knowledgeable of the area as well as the culture! 10/10 would book with Pablo again!

Abel was our guide for the day. Our tour was on a Tuesday. It ended up just being our party. We learned a lot about history, plants, animals and culture. Lunch was great. The mayan ruins are not too hard. The walk to the cave is easy. Most people do it in cross. We were picked up at 7:50. We did not arrive back to our hotel until almost 4pm. It was a great day.

This was an amazing experience and I highly recommend it! Our guide was awesome and very knowledgeable. He took us to a great local restaurant and provided us with both historical information as well as cultural and current political info. He was easy going, adaptive, flexible, and friendly without being overly talkative. The temple was so cool to see but the cave tubing was absolutely the highlight of the trip - appropriate for all ages and shockingly beautiful! Make sure to wear water shoes to make the walk more comfortable! Bring your camera!
