You will never see the Amalfi Coast like this! You will discover the Amalfi Coast’s hidden delights and breathtaking views safely from the seat of your sea kayak, thanks to the comprehensive experience and knowledge of local guides and instructors from the Italian Canoe and Kayak Federation.
The route will take us along Amalfi’s finest beaches as well as close to natural rock arches and into sea caves, giving us the opportunity to admire the old watch towers that dot the entire length of this coast.
We will pause at beaches reachable only by sea and have time to go snorkeling or swimming in crystal-clear waters.

In order to participate to the tour all the participants must to be able to swim and be in good health and shape (people with medical conditions such as obesity, cardiovascular disease, etc. that affect sport activities cannot participate for safety reasons)
Each minor (18-) must to be accompanied by one adult (18+) which will be paired with in a double kayak
All the participants will be given double kayaks which are very stable and easy to manage

What To Expect
Amalfi
Once we have put on our life jackets and adjusted the footrests on our kayaks we will be ready to set off to the west towards the Runghetiello Grotto. For those who have never been in a kayak there will be a short introductory lesson on how to kayak and safety at sea. The route will take us along Amalfi’s finest beaches as well as close to natural rock arches and into sea caves, giving us the opportunity to admire the old watch towers that dot the entire length of this coast. We will pause at beaches reachable only by sea and have time to go snorkeling or swimming in crystal-clear waters. Not too far from the starting point, once passed Duoglio and Santa Croce beaches, we will kayak by the "Arc of Lovers", a natural rock arch created millions of years ago by the erosion of the sea whose shape recalls two elephants in the act of kissing. Up to not too long ago young couples used to get married on the top of it.
Conca dei Marini
A little later we will paddle in front of the ancient fishermen village of Conca dei Marini, passing near the villa of Sophia Loren and seeing the historic hotel “Il Saraceno” located on La Vite Beach. From here we will also have a stunning view of the Santa Rosa Monastery, a former convent now converted into a luxury hotel, once home of the Dominican nuns. It's right in the kitchens of this monastery that the delicious "Sfogliatella Santa Rosa" was born, a shell-shaped pastry filled with ricotta cheese-based cream and little dried fruit pieces, typical of the local culinary tradition (don't forget to taste it before leaving!). Once past the seaside of Conca dei Marini we will enter its western basin, where we will finally find and visit the Runghetiello Grotto, a picturesque natural sea cave named after a local fish, brightly frescoed in red and green by the minerals on its walls. The return trip to Amalfi will give us a different but equally remarkable view of both sea and land.

5.00This was an excellent tour in a tandem kayak, and even though we weren't able to go the usual route, we still greatly enjoyed it, and it was a great way to see the coast! The guides were very good at keeping us together, pointing out the sights, providing information on the area, took some pretty decent photos of us, and gave us some excellent recommendations on restaurants and places to visit in the area.

5.00Great way to see the cities from a different perspective. Antonio, Andrea and the other guides were fantastic. We had ample time to snorkel and see a few local fish and light shining deep into the crystal blue water. The guides provided history and pointed out landmarks, and even gave us tips on things to do the remainder of our vacation. The sea was pretty consistent our entire time there so would have no worries about booking in advance versus awaiting forecast. It was definitely a highlight of our trip. I’m relatively active with a variety of water sports. If you’ve kayaked/SUP before, this will be a breeze. If you’ve never kayaked or not physically fit, you may want to watch some videos and do a test drive somewhere else. Also, keep your expectations in check. Snorkeling was SO much fun, but people don’t come to Italy for the snorkeling, so don’t expect it to look like Hawaii or Grand Cayman under the water.

5.00Really well organised, the guides made sure everyone was safe and had a good time. Beautiful scenery and the beach stop with the melon was great. The Welsh lad in particular was really helpful and made sure we enjoyed ourselves!
