Please note: This tour is only available for guests who can meet us in Port Douglas or Mossman (Silky Oaks). The Waterfall Walk does require a good level of fitness and balance. Recommended for 10-65 years of age.
What To Expect
Daintree Region
To begin the morning, we drive through lush and mountainous coastal landscapes from Port Douglas, learning about the history and culture of the region, as we journey toward the ancient Daintree Rainforest.
Daintree
For our spectacular and idyllic wild walk, we hike through ancient rainforest glades and the creekside valley to a gorgeous, secluded waterfall in the Daintree Wet Tropics World Heritage Area, where we can swim in this pristine untouched rock pool. The walk is a slightly challenging 1 hour each way, requiring reasonable fitness and good balance. We go at an easy pace, sharing many fascinating details about the pristine rainforest ecosystem along the trail... We then relax and indulge in a refreshing swim in this magical natural Rockpool where we can swim right beneath the falls !

5.00It was a marvellous experience! Everything we saw and did made for an excellent day full of beautiful moments. Allister, the tour guide, made it even better with his very complete explanations, further improving our time with his kindness. I totally recommend these tours to anyone reading my review, they are a wonderful opportunity to get to know Australia better.

5.00We had a wonderful day with Alastair on the Beauty Valley Falls tour. On our river cruise we spotted 4 crocodiles of varying sizes, and our tasty lunch featured an interesting array of fruits. But the highlight of the day was when Alastair led us on a trek deep into the Daintree forest, arriving at a spectacular waterfall where we were able to swim in an amazing deep rock pool. With swimming noodle assistance. Alastair is an informative and interesting guide, revealing many of the secrets of the incomparable ancient Daintree Rainforest.

5.00Start to finish, thoroughly enjoyed our day with Allister. A much varied itinerary, handled extremely well. Husband and I enjoyed our conversations, the croc tour, the road tour, the gourmet lunch in my opinion, the walk and a wonderful waterfall to top it off. Highly recommend. Thanks much.

5.00Allister was the most informative and conscientious guide, he was very punctual to pick us up from our hotel and even more punctual to take on our tour the day back after his holiday! We had been emailing a few months prior to the tour where he was flexible with dates weather dependent. Allister's story and passion for the land was something that sparked an equal interest in us. We came as novices to the rainforest environment and left with more knowledge and hunger for more. The hike was excellent and the landscape is beautiful and very alive! The waterfall was unlike what we had experienced for and a real treat for it to not be on the tourist map. The lunch was delicious and fruit tasting also! The final cherry on top to the day was the Croc Cruise which was great fun and we even saw a few crocs off season! Couldn't recommend Allister highly enough his tour really made our trip to the Daintree so special and left us with a real affinity and passion for the Daintree 🦋

5.00We had the rainforest, waterfall and crocodile experience tour with Allister. He is a real local born and raised here with so much expertise. He had so much passion to explain us the whole rainforest. We really appreciated that he is doing his tours jointly with his friends and not completely overcrowded. We were 2 couples on our tour. Allister was awesome in combination with his friends, real good lunch, we had the best 1 hour crocodile tour and have seen 3 crocodiles, real cool waterfall and swimming trip and amazing guidance through the rain forest. Thank you Allister for this amazing day trip! Best Alex
