What To Expect
Funky Guest House and Adventures invites you to join them on this amazing horse trekking trip. We operate in both sides of Vjosa river which is the last wild river in Europe and National Park. One of the most visited attractions in the south of Albania. A perfect place that is known for its traditional cuisine, hospitality, characteristic villages like Benja, Ogdunani, Leuse, Badlonje with its stone houses, cobblestones, cold-water springs and old churches with amazing paintings. Based on the experience of the riders, they will choose the trail that you will follow, but the favorite is alongside the beautiful Lengarica canyon which is an old trail that used to connect several villages in the area during ancient times. On these trails you will cross beautiful landscape, visit old villages, churches, valleys, springs where we will stop for a short break for some snacks, fruits and local wine. These are beautiful trail as you will pass gorgeous hills, breathtaking views, beautiful canyon, old ruins, and probably, come across sheep herds and goats. After the trip, you can enjoy the thermal baths which are 20min way from our town where you can relax in the pools and explore the canyon.

5.00We are a family of four - all animal lovers but most of us had hardly sat on a horse before. The horses were gorgeous and our guides were very professional, which made us feel very safe. We had a fantastic trip with beautiful views, fun horse trekking, a relaxing break in the shade and great company. We would recommend the trip to everyone looking to explore this beautiful part of Albania ❤️🐎

5.00The walk is very nice. The river, the forest, the fields with the shepherds, just magic! The guide has worsened a lot of photos and videos he sent us afterwards allowing us to focus on the experience. This is a beginner’s hike but I don’t recommend it to anyone who is anxious or who may have some fear of animals. Even if trained, horses can sometimes be unpredictable. During the walk, a hiker fell. The guide quickly ascertained his condition and arranged for his return. In the end, I think there was more fear than harm, but it is still an activity that carries risks. For my part, I really enjoyed the experience.

4.00It was my first time riding a horse and despite a bit of fear, it was a good experience. The instructors try to make you comfortable. Very scenic ride, a couple of hours or more with a stop with snacks and drinks. Well organized. I recommend direct booking via email, without going through other sites that put an unnecessary surcharge.

5.00I’m 37, my partner is 42, and we can say with confidence that this experience was one of the best EVER. Our guide was so friendly, confidant and all together just a great guy! It’s hard to put into words how amazing this experience was. The Albanian landscape is STUNNING and this was an amazing way to soak it all in. We had no experience horse riding but we soon felt confidant. Up hill, down hill… it was exciting and invigorating. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
