What To Expect
Funky Guest House and Adventures invites you to join them on this amazing horse trekking trip. We operate in both sides of Vjosa river which is the last wild river in Europe and National Park. One of the most visited attractions in the south of Albania. A perfect place that is known for its traditional cuisine, hospitality, characteristic villages like Benja, Ogdunani, Leuse, Badlonje with its stone houses, cobblestones, cold-water springs and old churches with amazing paintings. Based on the experience of the riders, they will choose the trail that you will follow, but the favorite is alongside the beautiful Lengarica canyon which is an old trail that used to connect several villages in the area during ancient times. On these trails you will cross beautiful landscape, visit old villages, churches, valleys, springs where we will stop for a short break for some snacks, fruits and local wine. These are beautiful trail as you will pass gorgeous hills, breathtaking views, beautiful canyon, old ruins, and probably, come across sheep herds and goats. After the trip, you can enjoy the thermal baths which are 20min way from our town where you can relax in the pools and explore the canyon.

5.00This horseback riding tour was one of the most beautiful experiences of our trip to Albania. Avenir and Lili were wonderful guides from start to finish. They were friendly, patient, and made everyone feel comfortable, regardless of riding experience. Their instructions were easy to understand, making the tour perfect for beginners. The horses were calm, gentle, and clearly well cared for. A playful foal accompanied us during the ride, along with two friendly dogs, which added even more charm to the experience. The route took us through forests, open meadows, small trails, and across a stream, surrounded by breathtaking scenery. After riding for a while, we stopped for a break with snacks and drinks. While the horses peacefully grazed nearby, we sat and enjoyed the incredible landscape. One moment will stay with me for a long time: I walked to the edge of a cliff overlooking the mountains and simply sat there in silence, taking in the view. Everything felt so peaceful. The horses were grazing freely, the dogs were wandering around, and the only sounds were nature itself. It was one of those rare moments where you feel completely present and connected to your surroundings. If you are visiting the Përmet area, I cannot recommend this experience enough. It is much more than a horseback riding tour – it is a chance to experience the beauty, tranquility, and authenticity of Albania in a truly special way. Thanks again to Avenir and Lili.

5.00We had a wonderful time horseback riding in Albania. The horses were well trained but it's best to be clear about your riding abilities as there is not a lot of instruction if you say you know how to ride. The views were beautiful, the trails were fun and we rested the horses while having a snack in the middle.

5.0010/10 would recomend. The horses are well taken care of and the owners do everything to make sure everyone has a good time. They adapt to the experience of the people. Their dogs followed along which was fun. The surroundings are beautiful and the horses are well trained and calm but not slow. They make pictures along the ride for you and had drinks and snacks with them for when we took a small brake. If you want to go horseriding in Albania, then go here.

5.00Exellent tour. Very good guide. It was awesome experience. The best horse riding experience in my life. I was for first time riding a horse. Guide make an familiarisation for whole group and explained very well how to handle the horse. Trip was full of joy including pure nature side seeing.
