Overview !

Snorkeling is an activity loved by many that the whole family can enjoy, either as a day trip, or simply a beach activity. Snorkeling is really easy, and the great thing is that you do not have to be very fit or sporty, even non-swimmers can do it by wearing a life-vest; just simply float and watch the fish and coral. Learn about all the snorkeling spots on Phu Quoc by reading our island snorkeling guide today.

Nice boat, but not a speedboat (large passenger craft) so could only moor into deeper moorings. Asked the guide to avoid all busy areas as heard some horror stories and he took us to them all. Each island was packed with huge Chinese tours, all of which threw their rubbish directly onto the floor, leaving each island looking like tip. The snorkelling was ok, but the masks were too small and they didn’t provide flippers (which made snorkelling fairly difficult). We tried to leave each place as it got too busy and we finally managed to find a decent beach that wasn’t swamped with tourists. There are a lot of local guys doing these trips that will stop at quiet beaches and coon a bbq etc, whilst you go snorkelling. We wish had used one of these. Also Viator isn’t very good to deal with once they have your money. We booked in advance to avoid disappointment, but there’s really no need as plenty of friendly locals who can arrange.
