This two-day and one-night trip to the Amazon rainforest was truly an unforgettable experience, it was packed with activities and every moment felt full of surprises! The boar ride, close encounter with the pink dolphin and fishing for piranhas were all fun activities. Sunset was perfect. But the Amazon's weather was unpredictable. 5 minutes later, we experienced thunder, lightning, and heavy rain. Second day is on the Amazon reason. The floating village, culture experience were great. The only thing Is the 2-3 hour hiking was a bit too much for me. It was hot, humid and full of mosquitos. 30 min to an hour would be enough. Other than that, it was a great adventure.

Hands down one of the most enjoyable experiences. All the activities were amazing, though the long boat ride was probably my least favorite part. It was a truly magical two days.

Overall I had a great experience exploring the Amazon and the Rio Negra with very informative and attentive guides, ‘swimming’ with the pink dolphins was a highlight and we were fortunate enough to see a three toed sloth on our jungle hike. The accomodation was basic but comfortable and the food was great. I do think that there were areas where information was lacking, for instance it would have been good to be given a bit of a ‘lesson’ on the pink dolphins (I didn't even know they existed until this trip), the same goes for the fish farm on the second day ie. the kind of fish, what the farm does, where the fish go etc. we were basically just given rods with the fish attached, some safety instructions and let loose! It also would have been helpful if the driver who picked me up from my hotel explained a bit more about what was happening, I felt like I was being driven into the middle of nowhere, other passengers were dropped off randomly and I was continuing on, as a solo traveller, it would have been reassuring to know exactly what was happening.

Guides were good. However, there was a disconnect in pickup at the end of first day to take us to the lodge for the night and we had to wait for a long time when we were told max. 20 minutes wait. Jungle walk was not too exciting - no animals except one sloth and a tarantula. Maybe better location is needed.

Excellent experience. The guides were friendly, communicative, and helpful. The Rio Negro is beautiful! We visited in August 2024 during the dry, hot season for 2 days and 1 night. They were able to accommodate my dad, who is in his late 70s and is walking with 2 canes due to a severe quadricep injury last year. He loved the jungle hike, though it was definitely a struggle (be warned—they say it is 2 to 3km, but my iPhone pedometer logged over 5km). Getting in and out of boats was tricky, but very doable. Some highlights: - Pink river dolphin encounter - Piranha fishing - Good food provided and plenty of water - Baby alligator catching at night - Sunset on the river. The river is absolutely huge. It feels more like a large lake. - Sunrise in a little rural village - Indigenous village visit with some instrumentals, simple dances, and simple foods. - Some little monkeys were hanging out on a bridge by a restaurant in the side of the river where we ate right by Janauari park. One snuck in and stole a mayonnaise packet and made off with it. - Meeting of the waters - The floating port was interesting. There is a massive placard showing the highest water level each year over the last 140 or so years. It would probably be suitable and enjoyable for older children (8+) and teens too.
