We all enjoyed our experience! Our guide,Buddy , was wonderful … he gave us some very simple and easy to follow instructions on how to paddle and was very knowledgeable explaining to us what we were seeing as we paddle through the marsh. The pace of the kayaking was perfect for those of us who were beginners. I felt safe and thoroughly would go back and do it again. They have a moonlight paddle when the moon is full. I would love to experience that! It sounds amazing.

Buddy at PADL is helpful, knowledgeable about the area, and friendly! We brought our own kayaks and Buddy helped with our route & timing the tides. Great experience! Go see Buddy at PADL Amelia!

Buddy took a special care that our activity matched some limitations of 80-year-old men and 70-year-old woman/couple and we totally enjoyed the experience. And we learned a multitude of details, all quite interesting, regarding the flora and fauna of the area. All with a smile and humor.

The person who got us onto the kayaks was friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming and seemed to love his job. The life jackets were clean and the kayaks were in good condition as well as the facility. It was a beautiful location.

This PADL location is a MUST GO and experience. ABSOLUTELY beautiful and right here in Jacksonville, FL!!! Not only do you paddle through some of the most scenic parts of northeast Florida, but you can also visit 4 state parks all within a day. The team at Amelia Salt Marsh are incredibly experienced and knowledgeable of the area, the environment, the history, and everything you'll, smell and touch. The level of experience is second to none. So, if you're a beginner or expert you will thoroughly enjoy this experience. Buddy and his team Stuart and Ryan are incredible human beings! They hosted a group of 20 for us, many for the first time paddling a kayak. They made the experience welcoming, relaxed, informative and everyone was able to reach outside their comfort zones and thoroughly enjoy a day paddling!! Thank you for all you guys do!!!

We brought a group of 25 to kayak with PADL and had an amazing experience. The entire staff was helpful and went above and beyond from the time we started making our reservation to paddling and hosting us on their amazing property. Besides the excellent service, I'd also like to highlight that their kayak and SUP types, along with the user-friendly launch site made it completely inclusive and doable for those of all ages and ability levels in our large group.

Buddy is a terrific guide. In depth knowledge of the area, loads of experience, and very easy going personality. Great day on the water in a tandem with our two Yorkies.

My husband and I booked an early morning single person kayak rental and it was peaceful, the water was like glass, the temps were perfect (upper 60’s), and a light breeze. The marshes are beautiful to paddle around, with an occasional small fishing kayaker or small boat. The staff were super nice and helpful too.

I was leary about going but Buddy was a wonderful guide and distracted me from my fears of water and what lurks beneath. I learned new techniques and hope to kayak more in the future. New fan of kayaking in the salt water!

This was a great beginner experience. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. The guide was a joy and very knowledgeable. The wildlife was beautiful. It was a 100% worry-free outdoor experience. I did the tour with a kayak. I will be going back to try the paddle board!
