We had a blast on this trail! Andres and the guides were amazing, super attentive, and one even spoke great Portuguese, which was a fun touch. The hike starts with some tough uphill climbs but levels out and gets much easier. We kept a very light pace to stay with the whole group, including some elderly hikers, and the guides did a great job coordinating everyone and sharing cool local stories along the way. As for the weather in April, don't let the sun fool you, while it’s not freezing cold, the wind is brutal. I wore several layers and kept my base layer on the whole time. Definitely bring a hat and plenty of sunscreen, because that sun is intense! I took so many photos, the scenery is surreal, and we could see the mountain ranges with their snowy peaks. It was truly incredible.

The place is beautiful, although it is in a region well consumed by mining. The guide Andres and, especially, the driver Mathias were very attentive and careful with the group, especially with me, who was the slowest. We could have left a little later from Santiago and skipped the first stop, totally unnecessary. The "lunch" is a trail snack, good (remember to reserve room in the backpack for him and for the large water bottle they provide). The best of all was the wine patch, with cheeses, bottles and fruits at the end.

My partner and I had the most amazing time with Patricia from Ando Andes. We were picked up on the dot around 6:30 AM, a few picks up and we stopped for a coffee. The drive there is so comfortable and beautiful. We reached there and started the hike, they provide hiking sticks. I strongly recommend a jacket and hiking shoes. Patricia took us through and would stop every 250-500m giving us details about the history and terrain. The view is breathtaking as you hike. Mid-way we stopped for a sandwich and cereal bar (which they provide). This hike was slightly challenging but the guide is really helpful. Thank you so much for a once in a lifetime experience. Best for beautiful snowy Mountain View’s and streams We had a crowd size of 6 people and no entry fee to the park. Once you book, everything is included (except the coffee stop). The whole tour took 8 hours.

This was such a great day- our guide, Patricia, was lovely- so kind and informative. The scenery was simply incredible. It was a good solid hike that wasn’t too difficult and they provided walking sticks which were really helpful.

This was a great day tour. Was picked up from my Airbnb early morning and dropped off again on return. The tour guide Andres explained everything, was very friendly, and excited to take us to the Andes, about two hours mini van trip to Andes. There were about 9 people on the tour all pretty friendly. The scenery is exactly as shown in the picture, with glorious mountains all around and the ones in the background with glaciers. The best thing was there was no other bus tour in the area, we were the only group (except another small group we encountered) on the around 8-9 km moderate hike assuming you are in reasonable physical shape. This was a better experience than I expected in terms of the hike and mountains and I did not mind the 3-4 hour drive (in a clean and spacious van) round trip as it was compensated by hiking in the cool fresh air and great Andes scenery.

Our guides Patricia and Ale were great and had expert driving by Sebastian. Was an easy hike and we kept at a slow pace (which was good because of the altitude). Lovely scenery and lunch was okay.

Wonderful experience in breathtaking landscape. The tour guides were personable and knowledgeable. The entire day ran smoothly, from collection at our hotel, journey to the Andes and return to hotel - highly recommend this experience.

Definitely a top day tour from Santiago. Andres was an amazing guide with a love of the Chilean environment and the Andes mountains. He paced the tour with consideration of all participants and kept us entertained with information about the Andes mountains and eco system.

I probably had no business attempting an 8K hike, but I didn't really know enough not to go. BUT, in spite of the difficulty for me of the climb of the 1K portion to get to the valley to view the active volcano, the scenery was beautiful, it was a beautiful day, and it was rewarding once arriving to the level valley. The best part of the excursion for me was that, even though I was slow, the guide named Josmir (who stays with the last hiker, which was me), stayed with me the entire hike, and was delightful. She did not try to get me to stay up with the others, instead encouraged me to take my time, enjoy the surroundings, and take it all in. She was wonderful and very knowledgeable about the mountains and her country. She made the experience great. She explained that somedays she leads, but I would hope that if you're a slowpoke, you will have her to stay behind with you.
