A unique experience of living the Andes in the skin. The start can be a little scary by the steep rise but soon the trail becomes more level and it is possible to appreciate the landscape. I would not recommend for people who have trouble balancing, the stones slip a little and we can slip, but honestly? It is also worth the chance to have lunch on a high stone surrounded by the Andean mountains overlooking San José. We were lucky to see condors who gave a show flying over the group, I want to go back to this tour in the summer to see the difference in the landscape. Important to bring some Chilean money, the "point of support" is the settlement of a pastor and he charges for the use of the bathroom.

Excellent your, the vastness of the mountains is amazing. Lunch is correct (Sanguche, banana and cereal bar), on the tour they offer you water and trekking sticks. Very friendly guides (Patrica and Amy)

Absolutely incredible day!!!! Ali, our guide, was truly fantastic, with such a beautiful energy that infected us with her enthusiasm, calm and love of Chile. I was nervous about the hike with my asthma, but it was more than fine, and Ali and the team made me feel very safe and welcome. I could not recommend it more, particularly for female solo travellers. I will still be in Chile in July and will be rebooking to see the landscape in Winter.

Intended to go on Monday but it was pushed to Tuesday due to bad weather. The team was very accommodating and checked if I wanted to proceed or get a refund. They were flexible with pickup as well. Andreas is extremely knowledgeable about the area and geography, and it was wonderful to get to know more about the very interesting and unique ecosystem. Hiking poles, water, and lunch were provided (including vegan options).

We had a blast on this trail! Andres and the guides were amazing, super attentive, and one even spoke great Portuguese, which was a fun touch. The hike starts with some tough uphill climbs but levels out and gets much easier. We kept a very light pace to stay with the whole group, including some elderly hikers, and the guides did a great job coordinating everyone and sharing cool local stories along the way. As for the weather in April, don't let the sun fool you, while it’s not freezing cold, the wind is brutal. I wore several layers and kept my base layer on the whole time. Definitely bring a hat and plenty of sunscreen, because that sun is intense! I took so many photos, the scenery is surreal, and we could see the mountain ranges with their snowy peaks. It was truly incredible.

The place is beautiful, although it is in a region well consumed by mining. The guide Andres and, especially, the driver Mathias were very attentive and careful with the group, especially with me, who was the slowest. We could have left a little later from Santiago and skipped the first stop, totally unnecessary. The "lunch" is a trail snack, good (remember to reserve room in the backpack for him and for the large water bottle they provide). The best of all was the wine patch, with cheeses, bottles and fruits at the end.
