You'll have a close up on 5 exemplary buildings of Yugoslav socialist architecture. Find out why this architecture recently created a hype at exhibition at MoMA in New York and world-wide. Hear about it from the art historian guide who has not just studied it, but actually lived in it.
You’ll discover the buildings for the socialist elites, buildings for socialist business, buildings to impress the non aligned comrades and social housing blocks for the classless society.
You'll see how and why the architecture changed from the Soviet-like to modernism to brutalism. In 2 hours you'll understand 50 years of Yugoslavian utopia.

The architecture tour was brilliant, I highly recommend. I booked this private tour to do on my own with Kesenija who took good care of me, a very knowledgable guide who will answer any questions in depth and guide you through Belgrades brutalist landmarks. A valuable experience!

Myself being a Belgrade native, I thought I knew this city all too well. Realising I did not in fact know these parts of New Belgrade, I felt curious and so I decided to book this tour. The tour exceeded my expectations and made me want to walk around New Belgrade more often. This is great both for tourist and us, fellow Belgradians. Time well spent.

I chose this tour to show a little bit of Belgrade to my foreign friends another side of this large city, apart from the city centre. I am from Serbia but I am not from Belgrade so this was a new experience for me as well. I was thrilled to be a part of this fun group and my Slovenian friend complemented me on what a great choice it was to try this tour. Try it out when you get the chance!

Typically I am not a fan of the more recent approaches in architecture - however, I have always been drawn towards New Belgrade block and I just wanted to know more. The tour guides came up with a great concept here and were very interesting to listen to. Walk aside Danube is simply perfect. My personal favourite is the Genex tower - hope it will be reconstructed and kept well. Please take your time to visit New Belgrade and I hope my take will inspire you.

Wow! Loved it! My boyfriend surprised me with this tour for my birthday. Lovely way to soend a few hours on a sunny day. Personally, I am a big fan of walks and I could continue if this tour lasted for 1-2 hours more. I found it to be very insightfull and original.

This tour proves why New Belgrade is not to be missed when staying in Belgrade! I have been fascinated with buildings ever since I was a kid (especially the famous "Televizorka" in 28th Blok) and before going on this tour I was unaware of the stories behind New Belgrade architecture. Our tour guide was enthusiastic and answered all of my many questions. Tip: It gets windy by the river so be aware, but regardless- highly recommend this tour!

I was planning of going to Museum of contemporary art for some time so when I saw that this ture included it, i booked it immediately. This museum is a MUST! It's really special when you get to hear some interesting facts about the buildings you see every day, but when I really thought about it, I realised I did not know their story. I still think about the fun facts i heard from the tour guide and it makes me want to get lost on purpose in New Belgrade. Wholeheartedly recommend.

I recently joined the Architecture of New Belgrade: Brutalism Decoded tour, and it was a fantastic experience! Ksenija, our guide, was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, offering great insights into the history and significance of the Brutalist buildings. The tour was well-paced, covering fascinating landmarks I wouldn’t have discovered on my own. If you’re interested in architecture or history, this tour is a must-do for a deeper appreciation of Belgrade's modernist side!

An excellent tour that provides a great insight into the city's relatively recent history. A completely new and refreshing perspective on things. It was a fantastic experience, the guide was pleasant, eloquent, and kept our attention. I recommend it to locals too, as much information was not widely known to the audience.

I am a local, but still decided to take this lecture as I am interested in Brutalism and we never get to really learn about the great architecture that's all around us and in our own city. The guide is very knowledgeable on the subject, the lecture is dynamic and highly informative. I'd highly recommend this one to us locals as well.
