We did our dog sledding tour during our stay at the Icehotel. The guide picked us up from the Icehotel and it was a short drive to meet the dogs. We had a fun time meeting the dogs and seeing the beautiful winter forest during the tour. The sleds are for two people and both have the opportunity to drive the sled. Be sure to listen closely to the guides and follow their instructions to safely pilot the dogs and sled! Something to remember is that the dogs are “working” dogs and, like horses, will use the bathroom as they are running. There were some unpleasant smells during the start of the excursion, but definitely did not detract from the whole experience. In addition to following the tour’s winter dress recommendations, I’d suggest wearing eye protection as I almost had a branch go directly into my eye. At the end of the tour, the guides showed us the dog pens and even told us about the dogs’ history. Overall, this was a fun way to see the beauty of Sweden in winter. If you like the outdoors, dogs, or have an adventurous spirit, I definitely recommend doing this excursion. I would do the tour again and would want to spend even more time in the wilderness!

Today we had a wonderful afternoon with the team from snowdog.se. First an introduction to all the dogs which was going with us on our trip. During the dogsled ride sweet Juliette told us much about the dogs, their training and how they lived. It was also super nice to see what the dogs loved their work and almost didn’t liked the breaks. Thanks a lot and Juliette god luck in the future 🐾🐾

We had a great experience meeting the Craig and his staff and dogs. They are very professional and treat the dogs well. The tour itself was an amazing experience and so beautiful.

First of all the experience: the huskies are ADORABLE and so incredibly friendly, it is an absolute crime to not get to know them during the initial setup time! They clearly love what they do given their excitement both before and during the ride. The route was just long enough and very scenic in winter, and the guides also took great pictures of me and my team 🐕🦺 Also, when there was an issue with scheduling the owner did his best to find a solution in order to get me sledding before my flight back, they picked me up from my hotel beforehand and then dropped me off at the airport afterwards with plenty of time to get to my flight. Couldn't recommend it more :D

Perfect tour, great guides !, well organized, great transportation and pick up, great instruction, help getting properly bundled up with use of their snow clothes. The trails were nicely groomed and the dogs were so good and so sweet. There were nice snacks and cocoa or tea in cozy hut with campfire at the end. What a great time! I would highly recommend

The staff is extremely friendly and hospitable not to mention very knowledgeable and loving of the dogs. The course taken on the sled ride is so gorgeous even during our nighttime ride, the full moon lit up the valleys as we crossed them. Overall it was one of the highlights of our trip.

They provide you with additional layers as needed. It was exhilarating and extremely serene at the same time. We went in the afternoon so it was dark but still so magical under the moonlight. We drove the sled which was a fabulous experience and the handlers and owner are extremely knowledgeable and so happy to share their knowledge and stories. The dogs are beautiful and so excitable once the harnesses are on. Truly magical experience

We had a great time with family. The Snowdog team is very welcoming and adapts to the level of English of everyone. They are very kind to their dogs and allow us to spend time with them at the beginning of the session. We recommend this experience with the Snowdog teams! Thanks to Juliette and David who took care of us.
