A must for Marrakech visitors, this morning tour takes you soaring over the foothills of Morocco’s Atlas Mountains on a hot air balloon ride. Touch down for a freshly prepared Berber breakfast followed by a camel ride through the palm-scattered desert, and then return back to Marrakech. A flight certificate is included as a souvenir of your experience.

What To Expect

Start your experience with an early morning pickup by 4x4 vehicle from your Marrakech hotel and travel to the launch spot for your sunrise hot air balloon ride. Enjoy refreshments including pastries, coffee and tea as you watch your expert crew inflate the hot air balloon. Then, step into the basket and take to the skies! Each basket holds a maximum of 16 people and there’s plenty of room for you to sightsee comfortably as you soar up and away. Soak up the serene desert landscape as your pilot takes you over the foothills of the High Atlas Mountains on a 40-50 minute flight (depending on wind and weather conditions). After touching down at the base camp, head inside a tent with a view of the mountains to enjoy a freshly prepared Berber breakfast, including pancakes, corn bread, fruit, olives and mint tea. Follow your breakfast with a guided camel ride through the Palmeraie desert village surrounding the camp. Before leaving, you’ll be presented with a flight certificate to commemorate your Marrakech hot air balloon experience. Then, travel by 4x4 vehicle back to your hotel in the late morning, allowing you to enjoy the rest of the day in Marrakech.

The pickup etc worked wonderfully. Everyone was always very friendly. Unfortunately, the weather was not so good, so it was not clear for a relatively long time whether we can fly or not. Unfortunately, this was not communicated. We were still able to fly, and it was beautiful. The camel ride wasn't mine. The camels were very tightly bound together, and we were shown around the grounds once. OK but not world-renowned..

Excellent experience at the Buffet L’Estanquet in Montauban. Warm and smiling welcome upon arrival, we feel immediately at ease. The setting is nice and friendly, perfect for a relaxed moment. As for food, the buffet is varied, well presented and above all very good, with quality products. Even the wine is up to the task, which is worth highlighting. An address I recommend without hesitation.

I was completely blown away by this hot air balloon trip with Marrakech by Air! The pickup was on-time and the drive out to the camp was good. We waited around quite a while in the dark at the camp, but they had pastries and hot drinks and fires lit for light and warmth. We then got back in the vans and drove out to where they were inflating the balloons. The wind came up a little, so they decided to deflate the balloons and wait to see. But about 45 minutes later they said it was a Go, and we were able to get in the basket and take off. I appreciated the precaution of the company to keep our safety in mind, and was so glad the trip got to go. I would recommend this company for anyone coming to Morocco. Do this balloon flight, you won't be sorry!

This will be a day to remember. The baloon ride was unforgettable and we were very lucky with a great morning wearher. The breakfast afterwards was fantastic. There has been many others participating in this experience, from different countries, different cultures. But to sit together under the same tent and share breakfast and was quite humbling and beautiful. The camel ride was a great experience as well. I would recommend!

This was an amazing experience from start to finish! Really well organised and everyone was so friendly. Ticked off 1 from the bucketlist. The hot air balloon ride at sunrise was honestly brilliant. 😍it lasted around 50minutes. the berber breakfast was lovely and unlimited refill of moroccan tea! Them our camel ride was so good! We got our traditional camel riding outfit on and went a nice ride in the desert. This was short and sweet. Just the right amount of time. I would highly recommend this company and team!

This trip was the highlight of our time in Marrakech. Yannis our 19 year old pilot was amazing. When we arrived the wind was up & it was foggy so unfortunately we missed the sunrise as we had to wait for the wind to ease before we took off. Nonetheless it was a spectacular experience. Breakfast afterwards was plentiful and tasty and the mini camel ride was great too. There was a lot of chopping & changing in relation to busses etc but if you just go with the flow it all works out. It's very cold in the morning so wrap up well. Truly worth every penny. Unmissable!
