Wingfield Estate Sugar Plantation Ruins
The tour starts at the historic Wingfield Estate located in the foothills of St. Kitts’ central mountain range. When the English settled on the island in 1625, it became the first working estate on the island for tobacco, sugar and rum. It was originally owned by Sam Jefferson, the great-great-great-grandfather of US President Thomas Jefferson. Guests will see the ruins and may get a chance to visit the rum distillery to learn how sugar was converted into rum back in the day.

This excursion was one of the best I’ve done in the Caribbean. Ivan our tour guide was a delight. He made sure we got to enjoy the local scenery while safely zooming through the old sugar cane fields. Highly recommend.

Our ATV excursion in St. Kitts was a highlight of the trip! This is a high-quality tour that offers great value for anyone looking for an exhilarating way to see the island. The equipment was top-notch; the ATVs were well-maintained, powerful, and easy to handle, which made the ride even more enjoyable. The tour route itself was spectacular, taking us through a diverse landscape that showcased the natural beauty of the island. From lush greenery to rugged paths, the ride provided amazing views at every turn. A huge thank you to Ivan, our guide. He was fantastic and truly made the experience. Ivan is incredibly knowledgeable about the area and its history, and his passion for the island added so much depth to the tour. He ensured we both had a fun and safe time while keeping the energy high. If you are looking for a fun, fast-paced, and scenic adventure in St. Kitts, I cannot recommend this experience—and Ivan—highly enough!

There were 6 customers on our ATV tour. After a quick training we toured up near the volcano, through the woods with banyan trees, animal pastures, and farms. We saw the fort from above and below. Then we went back down and stopped at the water’s edge. Cool adventure.

The guide was fun and tailored the ATV ride to what/how our group wanted to stop. He was helpful in giving directions to better drive the ATVs.

Both of the tour guides were amazing and knowledgeable. They were great with our first timers and are more experienced ATV riders. I would highly recommend taking this tour when visiting St. Kitts.

Fantastic time with the quad bike guys from start to finish. We were picked up from the port and taken up to the start point where we briefed on the quad bikes and each given helmets. The tour takes you on off-road winding paths with stopping points along the way to take photos. The tour guys are really good fun and knowledgeable about the island; it’s history and culture. We had a brilliant time and would highly recommended the trip. Few things to know: you don’t need your driving license; if you worried about handing the ATV you can ride pillion; it’s off-road driving and the paths are bumpy - but that adds to the fun and you go at a pace to suit your ability and conditions.

Cool excursion! We were able to get picked up from our hotel with no problems. Once at the location, we were instructed on rules/safety and able to complete a practice run prior to the start. The ATV ride is through woodsy and fields (not so much tropical forest) and small, outskirt neighborhoods. We got to see lots of nature, animals, and the beautiful views of st. Kitts. Able to stop frequently to take pics but overall the tour guides keep your route to a schedule. The guides go quickly but you are able to at your own pace and they will wait up for you. I’d recommend this for teens or young adult families that are looking for something active. Also, I recommend wearing old workout clothes/ sneakers because you will get very dusty!
