What To Expect

Upon entering our ranch, you have the freedom to enjoy your day as you wish. However, we've crafted a suggested itinerary to make the most of your country experience. Start your day in the morning at our new house with coffee, local pastries, and a chance to meet our pets and family, who will share the ranch culture with you along the day. Then, head to the corrals for a 3-hour horse tour with a scenic stop for wine and snacks. Gently ride back home on horses for a three-step lunch, featuring a classic Argentine asado as the main dish. In the afternoon, choose between trekking, a 4x4 excursion, or relaxing at the house. Prepare for tea time at dusk. If you've booked the overnight package, enjoy drinks by the fireplace at sunset, usually with fresh trout for dinner. After admiring the starry skies, sleep in a peaceful, quiet setting and wake up to a delightful breakfast the next day.

We had the BEST time at Vivacs Del Plata. The family is so incredibly kind, greeting us at the front and making us feel at home right from the beginning. We had coffee and tea and then took the horses out up into the foothills on a nice long ride where we stopped to have snacks and wine overlooking the mountains. We learned so much about the land, the culture, and the family that has been there for 7 generations. Once you get back they cook an incredible meal that included the best single bite of food I had in all of Argentina. Can’t recommend this place enough, the value you get is so worth it!

What a day. Possible the b3st day of food, wine and horse riding ever. The hospitality was amazing from the minute we arrived. The food was exceptional cooked and prepared with a wide range of flavours and tastes. The horse riding and 4WD experience was next level. We were helped with light sprinkling of snow before we arrived and during the ride. The horse ride took us through creek beds, pastures and hills at a slow and comfortable walking pace. Staff were pleasant and engaging.

What a day! Horse back riding, the views, the estancia, the food… TOP!!!! The hospitality of the family that run the show, SIMPLY AMAZING!! We felt part of that family, estancia was super cozy, fireplace on, warm! Fully recommend going to this place, and if you have a chance, stay there and sleep at the estancia. Very comfortable rooms and bathrooms. They will also arrange for you to visit wineries close to the estancia.

If you’re looking for a day trip from Mendoza or a beautiful place to stay in the country, head to Vivacs del Plata. The stunning scenery can be experienced on a ride with beautifully trained horses or in a comfortable pickup truck. Either will be followed by warm hospitality and delicious food ! The host family makes you feel at home. There are also new, comfortable guest rooms with modern bathrooms for overnight stays. This is a gem!

What an incredible day! Fabian, Carolina and Camila made us feel at home and part of the family. I only wish we knew before our trip that this opportunity existed and that we could have stayed overnight and even the whole time. The horseback riding was breathtaking and we even had a condor swooping directly over us. We will definitely be back.

I don’t do many reviews, but I feel after visiting and experiencing this place it was important to share how amazing this experience was! When it comes to authenticity, this comes second to none. We were greeted and looked after by the Palma family who gave us a truly unforgettable experience that we will remember forever. The food, service and care was incredible and we would highly recommend this to anyone staying in Mendoza. It may be a small drive away, but it is worth every minute.

My family and I had an amazing experience at Vivacs. The horse trip was wonderful, the food was awesome, and best of all was our guides/hosts/new friends who own and run the experience. My mom who was visiting from New York described the day as one of her best days ever and my young daughters had a great time with the horses and other animals on the farm. The views were also incredible. Totally recommend and next time we’d spend a night!

Without a doubt the highlight of our trip! Run by the absolute nicest family, this place is absolutely magical in every way. The views are outstanding and the food was absolutely incredible. The family that runs this place is really what sets it apart from anything else we've done here, though. They were so kind and welcoming, opening up their entire home to us to use for the whole day. They even had places arranged for us for taking naps after our outdoor BBQ meal! My only regret is that we didn't stay here multiple nights rather than at a traditional hotel. There is no doubt that l'll be coming back again, and recommending this place to everyone I know! Huge thank you to the Palmas for creating such an unforgettable experience for me and my family!

My husband and I just returned from Mendoza, with a side trip to Vivacs del Plata. The genuine warmth of our host family was as expansive as the Andes mountains visible behind their home. We opted for a late afternoon horseback riding experience with JuanCruz as our guide. The horses were gentle and the family dogs accompanied us on a picture perfect sunset ride. JuanCruz took photos and videos for us so we could just ride and enjoy the vistas. At the end of the ride we were greeted with a bonfire, wine and hors d’oeuvres in a cozy outdoor seating area made of stone. We highly recommend the Palma family’s estancia and will be back, perhaps for an overnight stay.
