We had such an amazing experience with Dakar Jollof! Our lovely hosts were incredibly jovial and brought such great energy throughout the entire session. I learned how to cook thieboudienne, and it turned out sooo good. 10/10 I would absolutely recommend!

It’s an understatement to say how great of a time I had! We were a large group traveling from a law school in the states, but the accommodation provided by the instructors was truly generous. It felt like I was getting a lesson from my mom and sister back home. I could not recommend this class enough. And the final product was the best food I’ve had on the trip thus far!

I recommend this experience to anyone visiting Dakar- the host + English translator were incredible! So fun and very kind, and the cooking experience itself was such a fun cultural immersive time. I went to solo and ended up with such a fun group in my class! I can’t say enough how much I enjoyed the host + English translator, 10/10 experience. And the best jollof ever!!!!

This was a really enjoyable experience! Hawa (the instructor) and Abi (the interpreter) we're both so kind, patient, and detail-oriented. We made thieboudienne from scratch and the class took four hours, but it was definitely needed and worth it. Afterward, we were able to enjoy our food together as group participants (it was Ramadan, so the instructors were fasting). Be prepared—you'll have SO much food for leftovers. Overall, I highly recommend!

It was a great experience! I offered this great time to my family who came to visit me! They enjoyed: the shared moment and especially the cuisine! 😋

Loved it! We were welcomed into a local woman's home where we prepared thieboudienne from scratch with fresh ingredients. We even pounded herbs and spices into a paste with a traditional wooden pestle. The cost of the workshop was excellent - we were on site for 4 hours, including our meal, and the fish was top quality. The instructors were warm, friendly and great teachers. There were three participants so we all got one-on-one attention through the process. Best for adults or teens; older children could participate with a parent.

This was a fantastic experience with wonderful instructors Hawa and Habibiatou who were so kind and informative in showing us how to make the one and only Thieb (Jollof rice)! Definitely a highlight of the trip and i will be using this recipe to impress friends and show them the cuisine of Senegal for years to come! Thank you!
