Paper Tiger Cooking Class The Paper Tiger Cooking Class was an amazing experience and one of the highlights of our time in Cambodia. My partner and I joined the class with three other travellers, and it was such a fun and engaging way to experience Khmer cuisine and culture. Our instructor, Sopheap, was absolutely fantastic. She was warm, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable, with years of experience that really showed. She first took us to the local market where the ingredients are sourced, which was a great introduction to local food and daily life. We were then given a list of dishes to choose from, with each participant selecting an entree and a main from traditional Khmer cuisine, while dessert was made together as a group. What impressed us most was how smoothly Sopheap managed the class, especially given everyone had different dish selections and dietary requests such as chicken or vegetarian. Everything ran efficiently and we were always involved and learning. After cooking, we sat down in the restaurant area to enjoy the food we had prepared, which was incredibly rewarding. It was also a great way to meet other travellers in a relaxed and social setting. If you have time in Siem Reap, this cooking class is an absolute must. It is informative, fun, and run by genuinely lovely people.

Channy was an amazing teacher she showed me how to cut vegetable decorations, make all the sauces from scratch and got a great video of the banana flambé! Couldn’t recommend more!

We took the evening class led by Sopheap, and we had a great time. Her enthusiasm was infectious, and her English top notch - matching her incredible skills in the kitchen. We got to choose between dishes to cook, and she deftly led us through the steps, before sitting us down to enjoy the fruits of our labours. At the start Sopheap took us on a tour of the local market, which was really fun and eye-opening too. We loved having someone local who we could ask all our questions to about all the different types of produce and dishes that we’d been wondering throughout our holiday. The cherry on top was that we were able to order drinks from the bar during the cookery part, which rounded out the whole evening and made it even more relaxed and fun. I’d recommend this for anyone visiting Siem Reap; old or young! Especially the evening class - it’s approx 5pm-7:30pm, and a great way to unwind and have fun after a long day of looking at temples and minefield-clearing rats. The price was also very good value. Thank you Sopheap!

Our family has done multiple cooking classes in various countries and this Paper Tiger class was by far the best we have ever attended! Our group of four, made 6 different dishes. There was so much food to have for our dinner. Sopheap, who does the evening classes, was fabulous. She explained everything clearly in English and had us making everything from the curry paste, flower carrots and Flambe dessert. She also took us on a tour of the local market. 100% recommend. Great value for money!

My partner and I had an amazing, once in a lifetime experience here. Although it is on pubstreet, we went during the day time and it wasn’t busy at all! We booked the 1pm session and got the place to ourselves. Such a good value activity, the food servings were large and delicious. Thankyou master chef sinuon for helping us prepare the meals. She gave us an insightful market tour and instructed us with kindness and humour even when we made silly mistakes.

Chef Sopheap was truly delightful. First she took us shopping to explain ingredients and then patiently guided us through food prep and cooking experiences. Amazingly, since most of us had little cooking experience, especially Cambodian cooking, the resulting meals were restaurant quality. Had a choice of 2 appetizers, three mains and one dessert. All delicious
