Amazing Cambodian cooking class with Sinuon

5.00I was visiting Siem Reap with my best friend and decided to dedicate 2-3 hours of our hot morning to cook together. Paper Tiger is well organized and Sinuon was always smiling and took precious time to explain us everything and cook with us (2 dishes per person: mango salad, fresh spring rolls, chicken Amok and chicken curry). Then we ate everything and we had the possibility of taking with us the leftovers. A very wonderful value for money experience (approx 20$ per person) to pass a chill and lovely morning in Siem Reap!

5.00We really wanted to explore Cambodian cuisine and have a cooking class, which we decided to book with this structure. The experience was amazing, our teacher Sinuon guided us through the market and then to each step of preparation. We decided to cook different dishes to explore more tastes, and during our schedule (10 am) it was only me and my friend for the class! I would really recommend to invest the 3hrs needed for this experience if you stop by Siem Reap.

5.00From the moment we arrived we were treated like long-lost friends over for dinner. Sohpeap was an amazing teacher - balancing when to demonstrate, when to let us go for it, and when to do some things behind the scenes so we were on track! The food was so flavoursome and the whole experience was a delight. From the market tour, to the preparation, to the cooking, to the eating, we could not have asked for anything more! If you’re in Siem Reap, do this class!

5.00During our trip to Cambodia, our family joined a cooking class where we learned to make Amok, fresh spring rolls, and papaya salad. What made the experience special was not only the cooking itself, but also the chance to experience everyday local life. Before the class, our teacher Sinuon took us through the nearby local market and carefully explained the vegetables, herbs, and ingredients used in Cambodian cuisine. She even kindly joined me when I wanted to spend extra time looking around the fish section. Sinuon, a mother of three daughters, answered all of our questions warmly and made us feel completely comfortable. Our teenage daughter said it became one of the highlights of our trip. It was a wonderful opportunity to learn about Cambodian culture and daily life through food and conversation with a local person.

Channy has it all well organised, she has a good sense of humour and a great manner to guide you through the preparation and cooking. The visit to the market was both eye-opening and informative. Lots of interesting sights and colours. Highly recommended!

5.00Wonderful class with Channy at Paper Tiger Restaurant. We started with a shopping trip to the market and then began to prepare our dishes. Excellent instruction and it was a lot of fun. Our lunch was delicious. Would highly recommend.
