We begin the day from your hotel in Cork City or your cruise ship in the charming town of Cobh. We will start our day with a drive towards the magnificent Blarney Castle to begin our tour.

Blarney Castle & Gardens

One of the strongest surviving tower houses in Ireland, Blarney Castle, is our first stop. It's very stunning. It is mainly known for The Blarney Stone, also known as the stone of eloquence, which is perched atop the tower and is associated with the myth that kissing it bestows upon the bearer the gift of eloquence. One of the most well-known locations at The Blarney Castle is the Blarney Gardens. Blarney is a vast park of more than 60 acres with gardens, roads, arboretums, and streams. Seasonally, people show a great deal of interest in the more than ten different types of gardens that are accessible on the site.

We had a great experience with our tour guide, Derek. He was very knowledgeable and informative with the places we visited that you cant get from books or media. We love his positive energy that radiated how much he enjoys his job. We were also impressed how respectful and friendly with the people from Ireland. This is a must to experience.

Derek was wonderful. Arrived early. Very knowledgeable. Provided commentary on the drive. At Blarney castle, made recommendations as to what to see. Clear on meeting time and place. Had reserved our tickets at the Jamison tour and gave us time for lunch. Offered another stop since we had time. Appreciated check in text the day before so easy to reach him at the meeting point. Enjoyed stop at woolen shop. Overall great. Highly recommend Derek and the tour

Professional and warm and fun, Derek goes above and beyond to ensure that you get what you want out of your time together - even if you are not totally sure what you want your tour to entail. My husband and I knew we wanted to go to Midleton but were very wishy washy on how to fill the additional hours of our tour. Derek is not pushy or impatient , he listens, and in the absence of clear direction he intuits wonderfully. And he’s happy to adapt throughout the day! A font of knowledge who had the “in” everywhere we went, he’s just the perfect guide!
