I saw this show as part of the Vagabond Driftwood jigs and reels tour and it was very funny and also educational about the history of Cork. All three performers were very talented. The included dinner of beef stew and cheesecake was also good.

Five stars: Fun, funny and a great first-night introduction to Cork We had a terrific evening at Hysterical Histories Cork Dinner Theatre Show on Thursday, May 14, 2026. The show was fun, funny and just the right length. Written by Angela and Marie, and performed by Angela, Marie and Andrew, with Shannon accompanying on keyboard, it was imaginative, fast-paced and a very entertaining way to learn about Cork’s history, culture and historical locations. As other reviewers have said, this is a great experience to do on your first night in Cork because you will come away with helpful tips for places to visit during the rest of your stay. The dinner was very good, including dessert, and the bonus was meeting other travelers at the table and exchanging sightseeing ideas. Now in its sixth year, this show feels polished without feeling overly scripted. A great mix of comedy, local history, dinner and conversation. Five stars. Highly recommended.

Hysterical Histories in Cork is an absolute gem and one of the most entertaining experiences we’ve had in the city. The tour perfectly blends fascinating Cork history with brilliant humour, making it engaging from start to finish. The actors are incredibly knowledgeable, energetic, and witty, bringing the streets and stories of Cork to life in such a unique way. What really stood out was how interactive and fun the experience was — you’re not just listening to facts, you’re completely immersed in the stories, characters, and atmosphere. It’s clear how passionate the team are about Cork and its rich history, and that passion is infectious. Whether you’re a local or visiting Cork for the first time, Hysterical Histories is a must-do. We laughed constantly while still learning so much about the city. Highly recommend for couples, families, tourists, or anyone looking for something different and memorable. Five stars all the way!
