Highest recommendation if you are staying at the Fairmont Banff or not: you get to try a variety of restaurants and beverage pairings. Barbara was a fantastic guide and gave the right amount of information while also allowing time for the chef explanations and attendees to mingle. We had a fabulous time.

Don't Eat Lunch Before You Go! The culinary tour has scrumptious food, very knowledgeable guides (Beth and Stacy) in an unforgettable location. We visited 4 restaurants, had an informative tour of the Castle, Banff and Canada. We also watched a chef prepare our fourth meal!

Easy to book ,liked the idea of the money not taken straight away. The communication was clear on the email included all the relevant information that I required. Liked the reminders close to the date of the event. The tour its self I rate as very good. We really enjoyed it .The 2 hosts were very good and knew what they were doing although one was being g trained on the job. Both were very knowledgeable had alot of amusing stories which added to their presentation and tour. The Fairmont was a great place to have the tour due to its vast amount of history made interesting by the hosts. The event was well structured and liked that the 4 course meals were held in the different restaurants which were spectacular. Meeting the chef a d their team was a added bonus and really enjoyed their personal stories and work histories at the Fairmont and living in this area of Canada. A variety of food tasted as well as the beer and wine not forgetting the non alcohol drinks.Overall the food was good tasty the hosts lively ,professional and made the tour interesting also managed to get the individuals in the group to interact with each other despite being from different parts of Canada and the world. Would recommend to friends and family.

If you are a big eater, eat before you go. We enjoyed our guide Simmi she was excellent at sparking conversation. And the food was very good, and locally sourced. Some surprising things on our menu like honey comb and Saskatoon berries. However, I felt for the price that we should have been fed more food. We expected a steak! But when the meat portion came, it was bison, which was lovely but we got two slices. And some wonderful beet puree, and barley. Beets are so easy to grow and I literally got two small cubes of beet and a dollop of beet puree. And with 5 chefs making these meals they called it a labor of love. I just didn’t see the labor in it. I can make this at home. I really feel that for 300 $ I should have gotten more. My husband and I walked away hungry. I didn’t eat all day because I wanted to be able to have room for all of the food. I guess in America we are used to bigger portions. Now I want to say that every bit of food we got was absolutely delicious, and lovely. I just felt we should have gotten a little bit more. I am thankful for all of the chefs who made my meals because there was nothing wrong with them. They were all fabulous I just found myself wanting to lick every plate. The wines were so good too. I cannot say how much the wines were. One other thing that was a bit disappointing was the fact that the hotel was being remodeled and the carpet was torn up in certain places. I enjoyed the tour of the hotel it’s an absolutely beautiful hotel but hard to navigate the work being done. I want to say thank you again to Simmi you did a wonderful job with our group and we loved talking with the people in our group. Our only complaints were with the amount of food and the construction. Thank you again.
