While the clouds did not fully cooperate, we thoroughly enjoyed the night hike. Ewan and Isla were amazing guides, offering stories, conversation, and tips on taking night photos. We were offered the opportunity to reschedule because of the cloud cover and while we did not take the offer, it was great to have been given the option.

Euen (probably spelled incorrectly) was wonderful. We enjoyed the experience, he imparted lots of knowledge and even helped us take better pictures

Euen and Isla were fantastic guides and made our experience really enjoyable. They were both personable and passionate during the hike. It was a bit cloudy (6/24), but we were still able to see a good number of stars and take some great photos. There was something very calming and relaxing being out stargazing in the woods that late at night.

I recently went on a stargazing tour in Banff National Park (June 16), and it was one of the most memorable experiences of my trip to the Rockies. Although the summer sky was brighter than expected—thanks to the long daylight hours—we still saw a surprising number of stars. And honestly, the journey was just as special as the destination. The tour began with a hike into the wilderness after dark. There's something incredible about walking through a forest trail at night, with nothing but your headlamp, the crunch of gravel underfoot, and the occasional rustle of wildlife in the distance. It felt adventurous, peaceful, and oddly grounding all at once. We were offered a refund at the start of the tour, likely due to the brightness of the summer sky affecting star visibility. But none of us wanted to miss out. The chance to explore Banff’s wild beauty under a twilight sky was too good to pass up. It ended up being the right decision. Our guides were fantastic—one from England and the other from Scotland. They were around my age, which made it feel more like hanging out with well-informed friends than being in a traditional tour. Both were incredibly knowledgeable about the stars, constellations, and the local area. They shared fascinating stories about the night sky and the surrounding wilderness, keeping the entire group engaged and curious. Even with a brighter sky, we saw constellations. But more than that, it was about the overall experience: stepping away from artificial light, breathing in the fresh alpine air, and reconnecting with nature in a quiet, meaningful way. Highly recommend this tour if you're in Banff or nearby—even in summer. It’s not just about the stars. It’s about the magic of being in the wild, at night, under a sky that makes you feel small in the best way possible.

Very cool experience hiking at night. Felt safe the entire time. We had two young guides, one from England and one from Scotland.
