This breathtaking view offers a perfect opportunity for photography enthusiasts to practice their skills under the stars.

The tour departs just after sunset seasonally. We will contact you if we need to adjust the time for seasonal conditions.

Eligibility: This tour is not suitable for individuals with mobility issues, back problems, recent surgeries, or serious medical conditions. Pregnant women are also advised to refrain from participating. Additionally, this tour is not designed for children under the age of 8.

Meet in the PARKING LOT/Welcome Building of the Cave and Basin National Historic Site. There is free parking at this location. Please arrive 10mins before depature for setup. Your guide will have a clipboard and smile. Please let them know you have arrived.

5.00A really nice experience, our guide was excellent he know so much about all the starts and the planet, and he was also very chatty about everything else which was nice. We had a very good night for the stars, I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Banff. The trail you walk along is also really nice and very well maintained

5.00Our tour was canceled today. My husband and I travel often, and we love leaning into the outdoors, so we were really looking forward to this experience. The tour was canceled due to a 100% cloud cover forecast. I genuinely appreciate the integrity of the company for canceling instead of taking us on an outdoor walk with no chance of stargazing. Because of that alone, I would absolutely book with them again.

5.00We were lucky enough to have a beautiful clear night. The guide did mention that if you are not satisfied with the weather conditions you can cancel free of charge. We saw the most beautiful Auroras, stars and the very knowledgeable guide, Ewen, spent extra time with us pointing out mountains, constellations and providing interesting details. I went mid-November and it was chilly but not icy. The walk starts by walking through the woods, past some hot springs and along a paved path. It’s a short distance but well worth it.

5.00This is an amazing experience and would highly recommend to anyone visiting Banff. Ewan (sorry if I spelled this wrong!) was an informative and fun guide - he was extremely knowledgeable about the night sky, as well as the surrounding landscape. He went above and beyond! We felt safe the whole time and truly felt like we were walking amongst friends.

5.00Kael was an awesome tour guide. Super knowledgeable and a great group leader. Definitely made the experience worth it more! The tour was great, we got a clear night with a super moon present! Saw lots of stars and had many great viewpoints for photos.

5.00We had a wonderful time with Kaleb. We got lots of stories about the skies and he was more than willing to field any questions that came up. The path is paved but a bit uneven in places, so if you're clumsy/mobility impaired, I'd recommend bringing hiking poles, canes, etc. It was well worth it!

4.00I thoroughly enjoyed this experience! Unfortunately the sky clouded over so the stargazing was limited, but it was still a great walk on a lovely evening with interesting information and cool people! I only docked a star because the experience didn’t start off on the right foot. I arrived at about 5 minutes to the hour instead of the requested 10 min (my bad, I own that) and was greeted with Jacob yelling at me that I’m late and I could turn around and leave if I wasn’t interested… I almost did. But I’m really glad I didn’t. It only improved from there and I’m glad I shook it off and stuck it out. Kale (sp?) did a fantastic job for his first tour leading solo and it was great having a guide who was born and raised in the area. Definitely recommend, but don’t arrive late!!
