Awesome Market/paella/tapas/sangria experience. Maria is so knowledgeable about the culture, ingredients and history of the foods. Going to the market to pick out the seafood was a learning experience in itself. Detailed instructions were given about selection of the seafood, preparation and cooking. Very hands on. (Chicken option for non-seafood people)Maria and Gabby demonstrated, then had us prepare the prawns, squid, clams and conkles. They are both passionate about their craft. Highly recommend this paella class.

This cooking experience in the heart of Barcelona is absolutely fantastic (as so many others have already stated). We were a group of 12 but the group before us was smaller - it's the luck of the draw. Our chef was Andres assisted by Simon and they were very friendly and welcoming. We walked to the market and Andres explained how to select the best seafood. Back at the kitchen, we were taught how to prepare and make the paella. We also made delicious sangria and a wonderful almond cake. This is a hands-on immersive experience and you will get your hands dirty. If this is not your thing don't book and then complain afterwards like some other reviewers, just go to a restaurant to eat paella. If you are looking for a great night out with like-minded people then book this asap. We loved the food, the chefs, the other participants and the many glasses of sangria. If we ever return to Barcelona, I wouldn't hesitate to book this again. Thanks GabLab.

We had a wonderful experience with Mateo and Hugo as our instructors! We learned a lot, from picking out seafood at the market to preparing our paella - which was incredibly delicious! We started off making our own sangria and they even provided a non-alcoholic version for the kids. It was very interactive and we all had fun throughout the cooking process. The cake we baked was also very tasty and simple to make- will be great to repeat at home. This cooking class was a lovely way to immerse ourselves in Barcelona’s culture and food.
