An idyllic way to kick off a summer evening in the Bay of Islands, with a special tall ship experience that takes in the beautiful inner harbour. Feel the lift of the sea breeze as it fills the sails, relax and enjoy the ride with a cool drink, or get involved in the sailing - haul the rigging, try your hand on the helm. This 2-hour tour runs on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Light finger food is included and a cash bar is available. Includes return ferry transfers to Russell - the perfect excuse to stay there for dinner!

A relaxing and fun way to see the beautiful bays around Paihia and Russell in the Bay of Islands. The R. Tucker Thompson is a beautiful ship, the crew are all excellent and give you lots of laughs. And it's all to support a fantastic cause - youth development.

We booked because it said wheelchair accessible. It is if ur chair is a particular width otherwise u can't participate. Thus we were sent away without a sail. If u can't transfer from ur chair don't bother with this.

This is a TRUE Tall Ship! Great experience and climbed the Mast ! The Crew was knowledgeable and let us assist in raising the sails AND let us get on a sailing angle that brought refreshing spray !!
