Ice skating around Stockholm is a great way to get outdoors and enjoy the natural beauty of the winter in Sweden. From pick-up to food to skating equipment, everything is taken care of so all that's left for you to do is to enjoy your new experience with a pro guide!

Remember that the weather conditions are out of our control, and there is no ice guarantee. If the ice conditions are not safe a winter hike will most likely be carried out instead, however last winter season we haven't had one single excursion on which we weren't able to skate :)
Dress for winter activity. Hat/beenie, gloves, 1 pair of warm socks are a must have! Think layers of clothes instead of very thick and warm ones. Downhill skiing pants and jackets are ok, thick running tights with wool long johns underneath. Avoid anything made of cotton (tee shirt and jeans).
Please email us your EU shoe sizes (37 -> 46) so we can prepare the equipment beforehand.

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
What To Expect
After gearing up at our base camp, we'll drive together to the best ice there is around Stockholm (can only be planned the day before). After an easy safety brief, we'll skate for a few hours on natural ice (lake or baltic sea), enjoy some fika breaks on the shore and a nice hot lunch. At the end of the day, we'll drive back to our base camp.

5.00Very good experience with a beautiful and peaceful scenery. We had lots of fun, both our boys , more experienced in ice skating and me and my husband, skating as a beginners. Completely worth it. Tour guides were outstanding in providing everything we need and making the day memorable.

5.00Great guides, good organization, communication before and during the tour quickly and efficiently. Have done the 3-day Tour Nordic Skating. We had dream weather and conditions, so we actually wanted to attach another day. So book the 4-day tour! After 3 days you really get the taste. Also on the Baltic Sea we were ice skating - a great experience!

5.00I think I hadn't touched a pair of ice skates in three decades, but honestly, skating on the lake was way smoother, and thus, easier, than skating in an indoor rink! We were given all the gear we needed and briefed sufficiently. I think we went at a good enough pace for beginner-beginners to feel all right but also for those with slightly more experience to enjoy the activity, but also, our tour guides were also flexible and attentive to group members' needs. The outdoor environment was beautiful and quiet and spacious, I would do it again if only for the meditative opportunity of gliding in such a space.

5.00We had an amazing time it was truly a bucket list experience. Although we had experience ice skating at rinks outdoor skating was a first. The guides were so supportive and gave lots of tips by the second day we were into our groove. The hotels we stayed in were fantastic and the food was really good. A well run trip that far exceeded our expectations and met some lovely people on the way.

5.00Our guide François did a fantastic job with leading the group safely and while keeping us informed on many useful facts about the activity and Sweden. On top of that, he had cooked a delicious carrot soup (among other food and drinks available), which we enjoyed through the break before visiting the second lake. Overall, it was a unique , totally recommended experience and I would repeat it the first chance. A highlight of my trip.

5.00My daughter and I did the 3 day tour. It was perfect. We were lucky to have clear weather with only moderate winds, fantastic guides (Olivier, Christian, Johan, and Per) who knew their ice conditions, a fun group of adventure loving people from the UK, Europe, and the USA, excellent accommodations, and just challenging enough ice conditions for all levels on lakes and the Baltic Sea. The attention to detail (safety and comfort) was noticeable. The guides shared their love of natural and cultural history and were positive and encouraging at all times. This company is terrific!

4.00Beautiful day with our guide François! Very friendly and engaging he led us very well on the ice! Unforgettable experience! However, it is really recommended to have at least an average level of skating, in order to better enjoy the day. However we expected a bit more worked and better meal considering the price.
