• Poor communication and guidance

  I was really disappointed with this tour. The communication was poor from the start, and as a solo traveller it made the whole experience quite uncomfortable. I shared my hotel details and asked about the pick-up time, but I didn’t receive any response and had to chase multiple times. When I arrived in Railay, I was left on my own with no one to meet me off the boat. I had to wander around and eventually found the guide at the end of the platform. I was then placed with one other girl who had done a full-day course. There was no introduction, no support with getting my equipment on, and no basic guidance. Thankfully she helped me, because without her I would’ve had no idea what to do. The climbing itself was a great experience, but that was down to the location, not this tour. The guide’s English was extremely limited, which made communication even more difficult. I even did a few climbs without a helmet and the guide didn’t care. On the way back, we were crammed onto a small boat filled with local workers, which is definitely not what I expected or what I felt I’d paid for. Overall, it just wasn’t the experience advertised

  We felt very safe and secure with our climbing instructors. Their guidance and attention to our needs was superb. The climbs were in a spectacular location, perhaps a little tough for a complete novice but very enjoyable nonetheless. We booked a morning session to avoid the heat of the afternoon but as this coincided with high-tide, the beach was very crowded with tourists visiting the nearby phallus-shrines, although chaotic, it didn't have any adverse affect on our climbing experience once we commenced. Would thoroughly recommend Real Rock climbing!

  Such a great experience, I went with a friend who has no prior experience rock climbing and I have climbed before and it was perfect for both of us. Great guides and fun and challenging routes

  I'm 59 and love hiking and scrambling but have never been rock climbing before. I did the beginners half day course and it was without doubt one of the best experiences of my life. The location is truly spectacular and the rock climbing was much more challenging than I had expected which made the experience even more rewarding. The guys from Real Rocks were superb and gave excellent instructions and I always felt safe on the rock face. Organisation was excellent, first being picked up from my hotel in Ao Nang, then driven to their place to get kitted out with shoes/harness/helmet and then long tail boat to Phra Nang beach. I wish I had done this 30-40 years ago but even if you're getting on a bit like me, I would still highly recommend this as long as you have a reasonable level of fitness and strength

  This was so much fun! Guides were friendly and helpful. The beach we climbed at was beautiful, but got crowded quickly. Nevertheless, each of us was still able to get a good amount of climbing time in. Would definitely recommend!

  If you are looking for something physically challenging and exciting, this activity is highly recommended. In our family, we had varying levels of climbing experience. The guides accommodated us all and made this special. I specially want to thank the folks. I made a mistake with date while booking the event. I was contacted on WhatsApp and when I explained my mistake and requested a date change, they made it happen.

  Great experience! Definitely recommend. The guides are very kind and helpful. Seemed most of the people doing it had some experience climbing. Might be a bit difficult if you have never gone before. They bring you to a beautiful cove in Railay. If I would have planned better I would have prepared and stayed for the second half of the day on railay beach and arrange my own boat back. 10/10 recommend

  We had a great time rock climbing with them. I accidentally picked wrong date for the event but they were kind and flexible and changed the date even though it was past the allowed cancellation time. One is our family had indoor climbing experience and a couple of us had very limited indoor climbing practice and one had almost no experience. The guides were encouraging and accommodating all skill levels of the climbers. Highly recommended!!!
