To celebrate 10 years of filming in Belfast, Tourism Ireland created six giant stained glass windows, each depicting the most famous characters and scenes across all eight seasons of Game of Thrones®. A window was unveiled after each episode of the final season, with each window representing a different house of legacy: from House Stark, House Lannister, House Baratheon and House Targaryen to the White Walkers and the Iron Throne.
The six windows form a 1.5 mile (2.5km) trail following Belfast's 'Maritime Mile', starting at AC Hotel by Marriott and ending at HMS Caroline, next to Titanic Studios which for 10 years was home to iconic sets such as the Great Hall of the Red Keep with the real Iron Throne!
Your guides will all be extras from Game of Thrones® - a Stark soldier, an Iron Born reaver or a Wildling with real stories from the set.
Please wear good footwear for walking and dress appropriately for the Belfast harbour weather!

Very cool work by artists in this region. There are a few of these along the river walk. Recommended to come check them out. Very cool.

We did this walk late afternoon and was just getting to dusk when we reached the final window. Started at Glass 6 at HMS Caroline and worked our wat back to Glass 1 at AC Hotel, this seemed much more logical to finish near the city centre. Reasonably flat even walk with just a few cobbles. The windows are beautiful and well worth a visit if staying in Belfast even if you are not a Game of Thrones fan.

This is an incredible walking tour, well worth going on if you're a fan of Game of Thrones. The day I went it was just me with Andrew, the guide, so I had a really detailed, personal experience. Andrew talked about the windows, his time on the show as an extra and the other things he's been involved in (being in a documentary about the series, going to conventions) which really made the tour come alive. It was cold and raining the day I went, with snow starting to come down about two thirds of the way through the tour, but that didn't deter Andrew and the whole tour was really enjoyable. I'd definitely do it again.

Nice walk along Maritime mile hunting out the beautiful six giant, stained glass windows depicting some of the most iconic scenes from Game of Thrones. Each one represents a different house or legacy; including the Starks, Lannisters, Baratheons, Targaryens, White Walkers and the Iron Throne. You can Google to find the map of the trail which lists where each one is. Worth the walk!

We did not know that the tour existed but it is composed of several stained glass windows and tours the city. The scenes illustrated are typical and very beautiful.

Fantastic tour, with a well informed tour guide. He over-ran his allotted time, but to be honest I didn’t care, he was very engaging and welcoming of any questions we had to ask.
