All time for transportation (train, ferry, subway, etc) is already included in the tour duration.
The tour programme & schedule can change for operations reasons (eg train strike, bad weather, force majeure, technical issues of the boat, etc)
At the end of the tour the group will normally take the train from Varenna to return to Milan, but if you wish you can stay in Varenna to spend more time there and take on of the next trains/buses by yourself (we will provide the tickets - this must be comunicated before 13:00 on the day of the tour)
During the summer period, there is a small beach in Varenna if you want to swim a little
The tour is always confirmed in case of rain. Tour duration is approx. 10 hours (the tours ends in Milan Central Station).
In the winter time (November-mid March) the tour starts 1 hour earlier (7:55 AM meeting point in Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II and 8:15 meeting point in Central Station), while summer time (April-October) the tour starts 1 hour later (8:45 AM meeting point in Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II and 9:15 meeting point in Central Station).
It is possible to cancel free of charge only up to 24 hours before the tour, after that term it is not possible to cancel free of charge or modify the booking (for any reason). No-shows are non refunded. In order to cancel the booking, you need to do it from your account, please do not text us or call us to cancel the bookings - it can only be done by you personally from your account
If you wish to visit Last Supper on the day of the tour, please book it separately in the early morning or late eveving.
Bring an ID (passport, ID or driving license - an original, not a photo), this can be requested by train company
If you wish to visit Villa Cipressi (Gates of Heaven) or Villa Monastero during your free time in Varenna, you can buy the ticket directly there in the villa

5.00Extremely well organized tour. Highlight was the lake cruise. Nicola, our tour guide, secured us the best seats on the port side of the boat and he provided interesting and historical information about the grand villas located on the western side of the lake and their celebrity owners. He also gave us tips for places to have lunch, gelato or a drink. The entire tour was very relaxed and extremely pleasurable. We would certainly recommend this outstanding tour. Well worth the cost.

5.00our trip to Lake Como was all we thought it would be. First we were met on time by guide, Antonella, who was excellent. She was pleasant and personable as well as knowledgeable and patient with all in the group. She explained each move we needed to make with out transfers from train to boat. She pointed out the important sites to be aware of as well as other less known ones. Her guidance clearly made the tour of the lake and getting around Bellagio and Varenna more enjoyable. this is a tour that should not be missed.

4.00It was a long day from 9:15 - 7:30 back at Centrale. We were taken care of by our guide Kartia. She got us through the mayhem of Como with a calm demeanour. Organised a reservation at a restaurant a Bellagio which was very nice. It would have been a bit stressful finding one on your own with all the tourists piling off the ferry. If you tried to organise this tour privately with 2 trains, 2 ferries and a lunch and no commentary it would be half the enjoyment of this tour and twice as stressful. The only areas of improvement would be maybe leaving earlier than 9:15 and having more time in town Como before the ferry and improving the headsets. Mine was a hit and a miss. Besides those two (which dropped it to 4 stars) it was well worth the price and Kartia did a great job.

5.00There is much walking and stairs. The scenery is lovely, the boat ride was fun, and the guide got us good seating. Our guide Alessandro was fantastic. Be prepared for the weather, suntan lotion and a wind breaker on the boat.

5.00Very good tour, but be prepared for a long day. Our guide, Alessandro, was excellent! Very knowledgeable about all the sights in the various towns and on Lake Como during the boat tour. It was nice to travel in a small-ish group, and we saw everything we hoped to see!
