Berat City Tours
Berat city and citadel is revealed in front of your eyes on top of the hill as an oasis of history. The astonishing white citadel firstly built by our ancestors, Illyrians, with big white lime stones, surrounded by very old olive trees on the hill slopes will remind you of the treasures of the past that are hidden in the city. Step by step we are going to discover the ancient treasures that are well preserved in centuries from different occupation and wars. One of them is the Byzantine church, which houses "Onufri" museum, where also one of the oldest world codices was found. Walking in the old quarter of the city with special Ottoman architecture houses from 18-19th century, where families are still leaving proudly inside of them as their historical and traditional heritage will stay in you long after your visit.

Just experienced a fantastic day trip with friends to Durres and Berat, our tour guide Bjiordi was incredibly knowledgeable and flexible tailoring our trip to our needs. The views were beautiful and the history very interesting.. I would highly recommend to use TAB for your tour.. Hoping to return and explore more of this beautiful country soon.

Just visited Albania for the second time with some former colleagues who were visiting for the first time. I booked with Tours Albania & Balkans again as they were good on my previous visit. This time our guide was Bjordi who was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Durres and Berat and the customs and history of Albania in general. We were so impressed that we booked him for the following day to go to Shkodra! He excelled himself again. This company is top drawer and we will use them again.

Our family took a 16 day tour of Albania and Bosnia with stops in Montenegro and Croatia with Tours Albania and Balkans. Our guides (Genti 1 and Genti 2) were the best with fascinating first hand accounts of growing up in communist Albania and their experiences during the Balkan War. The trip was so personal and TAB went out of their way to accommodate our wishes. We truly had so much fun, learned a ton and will have lasting memories with our three sons. The activities were so diverse from hiking in the stunning Albanian Alps, to visiting a whole host of fascinating museums in Tirana, to an unforgettable stay in Sarajevo and so much more. If you are thinking of taking a trip to Albania or the Balkans, definitely do it and have Tours Albania and Balkans be your guide!

I spent a very enjoyable day touring Berat with Olio from TAB. Olio was an excellent driver (important in Albania!), very knowledgeable, and a pleasant traveling companion. He made certain we saw all the important sites, and was open to any suggestions I made. Thank you, Olio, for a very enjoyable day.

We were introduced to Jimmy by our private group tour organizer. Jimmy took care of all the transportation and sightseeing for our group. His entire staff was very professional. A shout out to Leko, who was our tour guide in Tirana. My wife and I took a separate a day trip to Berat and Nurellari winery with Genti who is one of Jimmy's tour guides. He is very knowledgeable and courteous. He made our trip a very memorable and enjoyable experience. We would definitely recommend Jimmy and his team for safe and comfortable related tours and transportation in Albania.

We were looking for something different, somewhere we knew almost nothing about & that we didn’t have to fly halfway across the world to see. We had read a little before we went to Albania & felt it would be a bit of an adventure to a country with few overseas visitors. Just before we went, we saw the film ‘Taken’, which many of our friends mentioned, as a warning of the risks that we were taking – the bad impression of Albania given by this film could not have been more wrong. What we found was a very friendly and welcoming country, with a rich history and many fascinating archaeological sites, ancient churches, medieval frescoes etc. Albania is not a big country and, although the major sites of interest were spread widely throughout the country, we found that it was possible to visit all these places during our time there. But this is where our guide Genti comes into the picture. By taking a private guided tour, we were able to cover the whole of Albania in a week. Genti proved to be a very experienced “local” who could not have been more helpful, courteous, willing to answer our many questions, and do everything in his power to ensure that we had the best possible experience of his country. In the course of a week, Genti became like a family friend to us, buying us wonderful Albanian cherries (we have never tasted better), satisfying our desire for quality meals with fresh fish and lamb, even going the extra mile to find us the best baklavas! Genti turned our trip into one of the best holidays we have ever had, and we cannot thank him enough for that! He is a great credit to Albania!
