Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu)
The only completely preserved portrait of the king is a three-inch high ivory figurine found in a temple ruin of a later period at Abydos in 1903. All other reliefs and statues were found in fragments, and many buildings of Khufu are lost. Everything known about Khufu comes from inscriptions in his necropolis at Giza and later documents. For example, Khufu is the main character noted in the Westcar Papyrus from the 13th dynasty.

5.00Booked via Viator and provided by Emo Tours. Our Guide (Mehmood Saleem - apologies if I have the name incorrect) was ready and waiting in our hotel lobby on time. He was a very friendly, knowledgable Egyptologist (to post-Graduate level, I bleieve). He provided interesting facts about ancien Egypt on our way to teh Pyramids and while there. He was happy to rovide as much information as we wanted and even to take our photos. Mehmood helped make this a great, memorable trip. We are happy to recommend Mehmood of Emo Tours.
