I took the “Best of Belfast” walking tour with DC Tours today, and my guide, Colin, was fantastic. Colin is a wonderful guide, a true Belfast local, and clearly passionate about his city. Belfast has such an incredible history that sometimes gets overlooked because of the dark chapter known as the Troubles, which lasted from 1969 to 1998. But before that 30-year period, Belfast was a massive industrial hub for linen and shipbuilding. Colin was so knowledgeable about everything - from the Norman invasion, the United Irishmen, and the booming industries of Victorian times, through the dark years of the Troubles, all the way to the beautiful and thriving city Belfast has become again. Colin gave just the right amount of history, along with great recommendations for the best coffee, places to eat, and even where to buy the best hot chocolate! I would definitely recommend Colin and DC Tours… I’ll be taking the History of Terror tour next!

Our tour guide Mark provided a greatly informative tour of Belfast city centre and associated history. He provided great detailed facts in a relaxed, friendly story telling style which my partner and I both enjoyed thoroughly. This tour is great for newcomers to Belfast and provided us with a great level of understanding of the history of Belfast and notable moments in its history. We highly recommend this tour to others.

My mum and I did two walking tours with DC tours on separate days. History of Terror Tour and Best of Belfast Tour. Steve was filled with knowledge. He gave both sides of the story based on the terrors of the past which was interesting. Steve was funny and entertaining and both tours gave us an overall picture of Belfast and her history. A fabulous city full of intrigue, mystery and secrets. Highly recommended. Steve kindly helped us to find our way to where we needed to be after the tour finished.

The group was very small due to the low season, so we had a relatively quick and a nice tour around the city. The weather was gloomy but our guide was perfect, showed us a lot of places and gave us a great overview of the city and why it is what it is. Thank you a lot for the walk around Belfast, it was a pleasure!

We really enjoyed our walk with Colin. He walked and spoke quietly. Good to hear. Fun stories and anecdotes. The three hours flew by. We still used tips he had given us after the walk.

We just attended the best of Belfast tour with Colin. Really lovely guide, very approachable and your experience was really aided by the use of ear pieces to always clearly hear. Would totally recommend. Only piece of feedback is the tour is perhaps a stop or two long and the three hour time could possibly be condensed, the coffee break toward them is quite welcome and might have been more welcome a bit earlier or if the tour was a little shorter.

This was a brilliant tour on our first day in Belfast. Mark was our tour guide and he was absolutely fantastic. So much knowledge and we saw Belfast through different eyes.

Great tour of historical Belfast with Colin. What an interesting city from Maritime to Linen to the Presbyterian Republican of 1790's and new street art. Highly recommended.

We took this to on the first morning of our stay in Belfast. Colin’s gentle humour and informative delivery gave us a great background of the history of the city as well as orientation which helps us plan our stay here. The coffee stop, notable shops and pubs were especially appreciated! Thoroughly recommend this tour!

Colin was very interesting and knowledgeable on an unassuming way. He told us about a range of different Belfast-related themes and gave good tips for eating and drinking places.
