  • Amazing few days in Luxor. Treated like a queen.

It was like visiting family but being treated like a VIP, I felt so well looked after and very safe. As I was on crutches Ahmed adjusted the tour to suit my needs, and energy levels and taught me some helpful words in Arabic. His knowledge was fascinating and we had fun. Hassan our driver was also excellent and I booked him for my airport transfer. I really appreciated their honesty with what I probably could and could not (balloon ride) do on crutches. Added in was a papyrus making store one day which was fascinating and a gorgeous alabaster store. (Tea drinking and gentle price haggling was part of the experience). Karnack Temple there is a lot of walking so we hired a wheelchair for a small fee which was excellent. In Egypt service and tipping is like the US. Service is first class & tipping due to low wages is expected. Bring plenty of $1 USD notes (as very difficult to get small local notes) for toilets/luggage/hotel airport wheelchair staff and tip your tour guide and driver well. I used $50 over 5 days…but needed much help and when I had no cash they looked after me anyway. I am grateful that during the tour Ahmed handled all the tipping and negotiated for me to skip lines, get disabled parking and priority on the Valley of the Kings and Queens golf buggy transports. In the tombs the staff also looked after me like a VIP. Queen Hatchsut‘s tomb I would just look at from afar next time and if more energy would do other less famous but more colorful tombs in Valley of the Kings. For this trip the 3 I did were perfect as best access for disabled in wheelchair and crutches. The staff in the tombs kindly took photos for me with no expectation of a tip as I was disabled and ensured I was not jostled in the Congo line of tourists walking through.

  • Joo is the best!!

My tour guide was Joo, and he did an absolutely phenomenal job showing me the highlights of Luxor. From start to finish, he made the entire experience unforgettable. His knowledge of the temples, history, and hidden gems was incredible, and he explained everything in a way that truly brought ancient Egypt to life. What I loved most was how patient he was he never rushed me and always gave me plenty of time to explore, take photos, and soak in the moment. Joo has a warm and friendly personality that makes you feel instantly comfortable. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does and takes pride in making sure his guests have the best experience possible. If you’re visiting Luxor and want someone who is passionate, professional, and truly goes above and beyond, Joo is the tour guide you need. Highly, highly recommend! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

We are a group of 5 people. Once we landed in Luxor from Cairo, we were greeted by a guide and a driver whose names are both Ahmed. Both of them are polite and mature. Ahmed, the guide, is very knowledgeable and informative, always willing to go extra miles to explain everything to us. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with their professionalism, generosity, attitude, and positive energy. Thank you very much again

  • Ahmed brought Luxor to life for us

Ahmed was a fantastic guide for the two days we spent in Luxor. He is a very friendly and outgoing local with excellent English and a deep knowledge of ancient Egypt, the Luxor area and beyond. Because of his extensive knowledge, instead of following a predetermined agenda with scripted narration, Ahmed invited us to choose our own list of sites and experiences, knowing that he could speak authoritatively to anything we chose to see. Even at a site, such as the Valley of the Kings, Ahmed was able to adjust the experience for us based any time limitations and whatever caught our interest. While Ahmed is able to provide university-level explanations of the stories and meaning of the hieroglyphics and temples we visited, he invites questions and really engages in conversations in which he is talking with you instead of merely talking at you. We learned a lot about both ancient and modern Luxor, and we feel like we made a real friend in Ahmed.

  • Relaxing and insightful trip through historical sites

We had an amazing time with Joo, he is very knowledgeable and was able to answer any questions that we had! He went above and beyond to make our trip special. He offered additional activities on top of the original itinerary that went with our interests, there was no pressure and he made sure we had lots of opportunities to shop without being harassed. He handled every aspect and gave us very good instructions on where to go/look during our visits to the sites, it was relaxing to just follow his lead. We were able to pick how our day went and so the day went as long as we wanted to keep doing activities which was really nice. You can make your schedule align with your time requirements and interests! Book with entrance tickets included, you won’t regret it as Joo handles everything and you can just enjoy the trip!! Would 100% book again!
