You will get an excellent opportunity to visit one of the oldest wine productions in Moldova - the wine cellars of Cricova Winery, most visited in Moldova. It represents an unique underground city, well-known all over the world by its huge labyrinths of streets, & especially by its excellent wines. It's also a good way to visit the most valuable natural and cultural heritage of Moldova - Old Orhei reservation, together with Curchi Monastery, which is one of the most beautiful monasteries in our country. A full day Tour to see Best Sights of Moldova.
Depending on the number of bookings, sometimes the tour could be private or shared with small groups, up to 8-10 people. But from our experience most of our groups are 3-4 or 5 people.

Manastirea Curchi
We will visit Curchi Monastery complex, that is around 30 km from Old Orhei reservation. Cultural, religious and historical essential background of over two centuries makes Curchi Monastery highly qualified heritage among the most significant monuments of Moldavian religious architecture.
Old Orhei Archeological Complex
Visit the popular Old Orhei with its famous Cave Monastery, Butuceni Ethnographic Museum from beginning of XX century, ruins of Tartars city Shehr al-Djedid (14th - 16th centuries). It is a just an unique natural and historical complex in the open air.

5.00A great tour and the guide Nicolai was fantastic giving us a real overview of Moldova. We not only learned the political side of this interesting country but he took us through small villages showing us how they actually live. The wine tasting was superb and the vast quantities and different varieties is amazing. Thank you for such a great day.

5.006 of us went on the tour of the monasteries and Cricova winery. You can do the trip for cheaper but this tour takes all the hastle out and the tourguide makes it. Thank you to Natalie who made our day very special, very knowledgeable, speaks every language ever spoken and happy to take whatever stupid photos of us we wanted. The winery tour is on fixed timeslots so if you're someone who likes to spend ages sipping wine then you might be disasppointed. I have no palate and like to chug jamshed so this didn't bother me at all. An easy 10/10 - I would book this again in a heartbeat if I came back to Chisinau.

5.00Great guide who drove us around. Perhaps not great value for money given the cost of entry, so if there’s a group of you it might work out cheaper to take your own taxi. Nonetheless it was convenient and well done

5.00Fantastic tour, Nikolai our guide was very nice. The monastery is charming, nestled in a unique landscape. We really liked the typical dishes that the guide recommended. The labyrinthine wine cellars are not to be missed. Very recommended

3.00It was a tour of two halves! The morning tour with Natalia at Cricova winery was highly disappointing! She seemed a bit in a hurry and towards the end when we had to do the wine tasting, it was again very rushed. I didn’t even get to finish fully tasting the wines - especially having paid for it extra, the least I expect is to bloody well finish the glass that’s in front of me. In other similar tours I have done, not only you are allowed time to enjoy the tasting of wine, if time permits you can have another glass. At one point she was holding the door open as if for us to get up and get out of the hall where we doing the wine tasting - that was just extremely rude, I must say! Quite annoying! The other half of the tour with Slava was awesome! He was a star - patient, engaging and just friendly - seeing the sites with him was great! Overall, bit expensive for the value, especially for the wine tasting - which BTW you need to pay a premium for!

5.00A wonderful trip with Nicolai. Even though the weather was not perfect, Nicolai still made the trip very enjoyable. He shared a lot of useful and funny information, not only about the places we visited, but also about the country in general. The monasteries were amazing, especially the one on the cliff. The wine trip was also great and very well organized. However, most importantly, Nicolai made the whole experience special. He is friendly and knowledgeable, which made the trip feel relaxed and fun. And therefore it was truly a pleasure to join this tour with him. 10/10, highly recommended without any hesitation.

5.00In short, this was a very educational and fun tour. Nicolai was full of information and historical facts. It was like going around with a knowledgeable local friend. In addition of the amazing winery tour and degustation and the monasteries we visited, it was great to learn about the history and politics related to Moldova. To see in the news the struggles and challenges that Moldova is facing to stay free and prosper is one thing, and another is to see it in person with an incredible background history provide by a local as our tour guide did with us. I got in one day a live long lesson of history about Moldova.
