You will get an excellent opportunity to visit one of the oldest wine productions in Moldova - the wine cellars of Cricova Winery, most visited in Moldova. It represents an unique underground city, well-known all over the world by its huge labyrinths of streets, & especially by its excellent wines. It's also a good way to visit the most valuable natural and cultural heritage of Moldova - Old Orhei reservation, together with Curchi Monastery, which is one of the most beautiful monasteries in our country. A full day Tour to see Best Sights of Moldova.
Depending on the number of bookings, sometimes the tour could be private or shared with small groups, up to 8-10 people. But from our experience most of our groups are 3-4 or 5 people.

We will visit Curchi Monastery complex, that is around 30 km from Old Orhei reservation. Cultural, religious and historical essential background of over two centuries makes Curchi Monastery highly qualified heritage among the most significant monuments of Moldavian religious architecture.
Old Orhei Archeological Complex
Visit the popular Old Orhei with its famous Cave Monastery, Butuceni Ethnographic Museum from beginning of XX century, ruins of Tartars city Shehr al-Djedid (14th - 16th centuries). It is a just an unique natural and historical complex in the open air.

5.00In short, this was a very educational and fun tour. Nicolai was full of information and historical facts. It was like going around with a knowledgeable local friend. In addition of the amazing winery tour and degustation and the monasteries we visited, it was great to learn about the history and politics related to Moldova. To see in the news the struggles and challenges that Moldova is facing to stay free and prosper is one thing, and another is to see it in person with an incredible background history provide by a local as our tour guide did with us. I got in one day a live long lesson of history about Moldova.

Tipova Monastery was unforgettable – the rock-hewn complex and the peaceful atmosphere by the Dniester River made a deep impression on us, and meeting the monk there was a very special experience. Cricova is absolutely a must-see when visiting Moldova. The tour was well organized and memorable.

5.00I had a great tour of Old Orhei and of the Cricova winery! Our guide, Slava, was very well informed, a good driver and was very friendly too. We visited a number of beautiful, photogenic and historic old monasteries in the historic region and nearby. We then went to a nice, authentic though inexpensive restaurant for lunch. In the afternoon we went on the Cricova winery tour. It was a fascinating tour with miles upon miles of underground caverns where wine is produced and aged. This was the deluxe tour where we were among only a handful of people who got a nice wine tasting of a variety of wines. This was guided and described by one of the professional staff from the winery. And then Slava dropped us each off to our hotels. It was a pretty big day but I never felt like we were being hurried. And while group size can vary, our group was one of only three people. It was just great and well worth the money!

5.00This is the tour to take if you have only one day and want to discover nice places out of Chisinao. Especially lunch in the cave restaurant Epoca de Piatra was amazing!
