"Happy Birthday Mozart"–Dinner & Best of Mozart Concert Series Celebrating 270 Y. of W.A. Mozart (31.1.–31.3.).
High above the roof tops of the city of Mozart, the evening begins with a GOLDEN VIP Dinner in the Panorama Restaurant at the famous Fortress. Enjoy the breathtaking view of the city and the beauty of the landscape, surrounded by majestic mountains.
After the dinner you will experience a top classical concert.
Listen to some of Mozarts most popular works, like "A little Nightmusic", as well as other great masters of music, performed by internationally renowned musicians.
During Advent and Christmas time you also listen to traditional Salzburg Advent and Christmas music.
Individual tables at dinner in the Panorama Restaurant! Your table will be allocated according to the number of people booked, except 23.-25.12.
In case of fine and suitable weather conditions, the VIP Dinner is served on the panoramic terrace.

Fortress Funicular (Festungsgasse 4) ascent & descent (no pick-up at the station). After ascending with the funicular to the Fortress, the Panorama Restaurant is located on the right side at the exit. 5.00The music and dinner as well as the setting was wonderful Very disappointing that we were charged for 4 x programs for the music concert but we did not receive 1 single program. They just said they did not have enough But surely if you sell something yo someone you must give it to the person. I think we should get a refund for the programs we paid and did not get.

4.00Best part was the staff members who were amazing, followed by the pumpkin soup which was to die for. We had the wine package and the dining experience was nice, but aside from the soup the food was just average. The concert was also nice, with passionate and talented musicians. The playlist surprised me a bit, as the scores were not that familiar or memorable for the typical tourist (who I assume is the target audience for this event). Still, a great night out and lovely experience.

5.00The dinner was very tasty and we especially enjoyed the trout entree. It was a nice touch that an aperitif, wine and coffee were all included. Our waiter was very attentive, and a pleasant gentleman. The views of Salzburg were impressive. The highlight of the evening was the concert. The ensemble played beautifully and there was great engagement with the audience. We enjoyed all of the pieces of music they chose to play. The standing ovation at the end was well deserved. As others have posted, there are stairs to deal with in multiple places navigating the fortress so be aware if you have mobility challenges.
