Best of The Gate of Heaven and East Bali Tour is one of the most popular tour packages that we design on your holiday in Bali Island. The trip will be start from your hotel then we will drive you to visit Lempuyang Temple which known as the gate of heaven and one of Bali’s oldest and most highly regarded temples. Then we will drive you to visit Tirta Gangga Water Garden, the gardens of this Bali water palace show a unique mix of Balinese and Chinese architecture.
For your Lunch you may ask to our driver to take to restaurant then after lunch we will drive you to visit Taman Ujung Sukasada, the park is laid out very beautiful and unique reminiscent to the Dutch colonial period. Then we continue the trip to visit Virgin Beach, it's the best white sand beach in Bali, less crowded and hidden from the public. Our last of the journey is visiting Tenganan Traditional Village, it's one of the ancient villages on the island of Bali.

What To Expect
Lempuyang Temple
While avid hikers will love the blend of mountains and cultural excursions that Bali's eastern region has to offer, those unwilling to take on the ascent up to the peak at Lempuyang Temple can still enjoy the splendid views at the grand Pura Penataran Agung temple at the foot of the mountain. The first to come into view on the pilgrimage, this temple offers an impressive sight with its towering dragon staircases – perfect for photos. The best views are higher up the stairs, where you can see all the way across the green forested slopes and neighboring Mount Agung, Bali's highest peak and abode of Besakih Temple. There are many motorcycle taxis operated by local villagers that can take you up where the asphalt ends at the Penataran Agung for a negotiable fee. They are convenient for those who wish to start their climb quicker, shortening the time on foot from the parking area.
Tirta Gangga
The gardens of Tirta Gangga Water Palace show a unique mix of Balinese and Chinese architecture. The grounds of the water garden (ca 1.2 ha.) consists of three separate complexes each with ponds and many sculptures. The complex on the lowest level has two large ponds and a water tower. At the second complex (middle level) of the Bali water palace are the swimming pools. The third level houses the main complex with the country home of the former Raja. Nowadays one can find a restaurant and four bungalow units in this former country home of Raja A.A. Anglurah Ketut Karangasem. Building water gardens, including the designing and the labor work, was a favorite hobby of the Raja. As many of his visitors did not expect this, of course they were surprised to find the Raja himself working among his laborers, standing knee deep in mud digging out the earth.

5.00Nyoman was an excellent guide. He made sure we were comfortable and the car was air conditioned, clean and comfortable. The gates of Heaven were wonderful but everywhere we went was very beautiful and interesting too. Lunch was plentiful and delicious. Highly recommended!

5.00I had an absolutely amazing time during the Gate of Heaven tour. My tour driver was Dwi. He did a wonderful job explaining the history of the places we visited and he also helped me take lots of great pictures. The Gate of Heaven temple itself is simply breathtaking and is definitely a highlight of the tour. The only thing I would recommend is that you take an umbrella or a rain coat since it rained a lot at the location. Dwi helped me with this so I was very grateful. The water gardens at Tirta Gangga were especially beautiful with the ancient statues and koi fish ponds. Lastly, I was very impressed with the tour lunch at the De Louise restaurant. The food was top notch and the Indonesian chicken curry was incredible.

5.00A long day, we underestimated how long it would take to get to East Bali. We waited 3 hours for our picture at the Gates of Heaven so we missed a couple of the planned stops but we had a great day - no regrets. Wayan was an accomdating guide, took us to a lovely restaurant with fresh vegetarian options and was our driver and guide for over 12 hours. We saw gates of heaven, traditional village and had plenty of time at Tirta Ganga. Thanks viator another great trip and thanks Wayan.
A day with Nyoman in East Bali

5.00Our tour guide and driver, Nyoman, was exceptional. He picked us up from our hotel in a very clean vehicle, introduced himself, and reviewed the itinerary for the day. We felt very safe with Nyoman as he maneuvered through the traffic to our various destinations. Bottles of water were already in the side pouches of the door. He always ensured that we were safe by opening and closing the vehicle doors. He answered any questions we had about the places we visited. He also took photos of us in every place, which we really wanted because those are our memories. We had a wonderful day with Nyoman!!!
