By choosing your beach day with us, you can enjoy a hassle free beach day, knowing you already have secured one of the best areas to enjoy on Great Bay Beach. There are a wide variety of vendors to explore within steps of our beach. The venue is easily accessible from the central water taxi station. Once arrived, your ticket will be verified, and you will be guided to your reserved space on the beach. Your space is yours for the entire day, and you may choose to leave and explore other areas of Philipsburg as you wish. Our team will be happy to take of you for your entire day with us.

What To Expect
Great Bay Beach
We are located at 49 Front Street, Boardwalk side of the Horizon View Hotel. If using a taxi, ask for the central courthouse, walk towards the water and turn left a we are a one minute walk. Once you arrive, our team will verify your booking and direct you to your reserved space on the beach. You receive access to Great Bay beach, including a full day use of beach chairs/umbrellas (assigned on rows 2/3/4) at Big Bastard's Beach Bar + Patio. Enjoy a full service beach, washroom amenities, food & drink menu. Each package will include a complimentary selection of beverages. You are free to come and go as you please, visiting Philipsburg, knowing your chairs will be there for you.

5.00This was my second visit to BB and won’t be my last! It is a beach in the center of some action, but not too much! Great gelato nearby and good shopping if needed. However, just a nice friendly place to relax!

4.00I give this a 5 out of 5! I would definitely do this next time I am in port! We were treated very well by every employee and had so much fun! They even had pool noodles and floaties to use at no extra cost!

3.00Beach and water were clean. To close to the cruise dock. Still need to take transportation from cruise port. The ferry ride is 10 minutes. Drinks were water down. Food options are limited at Big Bastards. However, there are many options around.

5.00This is a great place just steps away from the water taxi, which we recommend if you are cruising ($7 round trip). The young men working here are very polite, helpful and attentive (but not annoying). The location is right on the beach in front of the bar, included bucket of 5 beers definitely the best value and local Caribe which is cool for those that like to try local beers. The water iand beach are surprisingly quiet even with its location right in the middle of everything. Jeremy who was host was great helped us get WiFi hooked in and told us just to tell the beach sellers no thanks and they will move along. Chairs and umbrella were very comfortable and in good shape and clean. Loved the spot a great value!!
