Two very different experiences combined in one tour so you can get into the real spirit of Berat. After driving for some 35 kilometers from Berat, the next leg of the journey is a 40-minute hike through a lush forest. Then, you will be rewarded with the magnificent view of the Bogova Waterfall! The water falls from 20 meters of height feeding a 12-meter deep pool. The spot is perfect for taking in the sun, relaxing amidst the sounds of nature, and taking an energizing swim. After immersing yourself in nature, it is time to immerse your taste buds in one of the top-rated Albanian wineries – the Nurellari Winery. The flavors of their wine selection come alive as you feast on seasonal finger food, all local - cheese, hams, fruits/olives, and gliko, the Queen of jams. A member of the family will tell you the story of the making of this strong Albanian wine brand. You will end the day with the sounds of nature in your soul and a taste of Berat’s most famous wines.

Bogove Waterfall
Bogova waterfall is one of the most formidable monuments of nature in the region. After driving for some 35 kilometers from Berat, the next leg of the journey is a 40-minute hike through a lush forest. The crystal-blue water falls from 20 meters of height feeding a 12-meter deep pool. The spot is perfect for taking in the sun, relaxing amidst the sounds of nature, and taking an energizing swim
Nurellari Winery Cellar

This was an excellent tour. The guide Ervis gave us a real insight into the history of Albania and the current situation in the country. The waterfall was amazing, and the wine tasting was exceptional. Thoroughly recommended!

Partly because of the great guide we enjoyed ourselves enormously. Everything that is told about Albania, the view of a rock, the ride and the waterfall as a highlight.

Great trip. Very personalised tour with Ervis. His conversation and knowledge was first class. The Winery was fantastic. The Raki rocked, as did the wine.

Nice trip, very nice waterfall, was a very long drive and then a long walk in the enormous heat. The vineyard was fantastic and the wines were very tasty

Nice place to cool off like very cold with regard to water temperature. Go early in the morning because then it's full for lunch by the water!!

We had a really lovely time with Erilda! The waterfall was beautiful and we even had a quick dip into the cold water. Afterwards we visited a nice winery and enjoyed the wine tasting with local wine and some delicious snacks! We highly recommend this tour!

Worthwhile tour, very nice tour guide with lots of information about the wild herbs and fruits along the way. Nice little hike. Wine tour was rather short, wine and snacks but very delicious. Overall tour highly recommended

Ervis was a great tour guide and have us lots of information about Berat and Albania. We had a beautiful walk up to Bogova Waterfall and chance to take a dip (very cold in October!) but stunning. The journey from Berat took an hour but the views of the mountains and scenery were exceptional! The wine tasting went down a treat! While the actual wine tour itself was quite short, the wines and the nibbles were delicious! A must do tour when in Berat! Thank you to Ervis for being a wonderful host 😊 Hazel & She

Spectacular tour! I've taken many tours while traveling, but 1001 Albanian Adventures is probably the best organization I've ever experienced. Take a look at their website, because they are a unique loval cooperative very worth supporting. They are small, but this gives them the ability to provide a really personal experience. The hike is short and easy, the waterfall and swimming spot were beautiful even in October, and the winery represents new sustainable agriculture in Albania. The wine is quite good, grown from unique varietals, and recognized even in France. Like all tours, your tour guide and driver are the people who make your day, and the staff at 1001 knows Albanian history and is open about sharing their personal views and experiences. This tour will leave you smiling. Don't miss it!

Lots of fun. Ervjs was a great guide and the day of activities was great. The waterfall was beautiful and a super easy hike to get there. Wine tasting was great (it's a very swanky winery) with little nibbles.
