What To Expect
Universidad de Antioquia
This tour will start at your hotel, when the guide picks you up. From there you will be taken near Antioquia University. This area is one of the high activity zones of the city, as it counts with Deseos Park, Explora Park, Aventura Mall, Ruta N, Bosque Plaza mall and Botanical Garden.

A welcome balm after a long flight from Canada.

5.00We wanted some fresh air, exercise and an introduction to Medellin on arrival early in the morning after 22 hours of travel from Canada. This tour fit the bill. Our guide Andres was a friendly and clear communicator, and he managed the winding roads and heavy traffic with ease. Both the Botanical Gardens and Arvi Park were very busy as it was Sunday, but the stroll through the Gardens was still very relaxing and the view of the city from the Cable Car in the Park was incredible.

5.00We had an excellent tour with Wilder. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and responsive to our needs. We especially enjoyed seeing the river that runs through the park and the views from the metro cable (that takes you from Medellin to Arvi). Our conversations were rich in terms of exploring the ecosystems/sights of the parks as well as sharing personal experiences with the challenges and opportunities of life here and in our country. We had fun working on improving our Spanish and Wilder's English, and it was a great start to our time in Medellin.

5.00This was a very scenic and beautiful tour. Andres first picked us up from our AirBNB and then took us to the botanical gardens in Medellin. We enjoyed the biodiversity there and the peaceful atmosphere. The rubber tree and the turtle lake was really enjoyed by my 4 yearold neice. After we took the cablecar to Arvi park which provided some excitement as well. Amazing to see Medellin from high up, a really beautiful city. The park was at almost 2500 meter above sea level, so it was cool. We started with a lunch of local paisa cuisine and set off through the woods. The vegetation at this altitude was really different than the botanical garden. Here we saw pine, moss, and a large bird of unknown variety. Maybe owl, but that would be strange in day time. We found a tranquil place next to a system of waterfalls to relax. My neice played in the wood playhouse. Thanks to the flexibility of Andres, we also went to see the local silletas maker and his flower garden. Unfortunately, we were too early in the year but still an interesting experience. Andres, if you read this. THANK YOU. It was a long day, we very much appreciate you giving us memories to last a life time.

5.00We had Alejandro as our guide and loved our tour, arvi park, the botanical gardens and the cable car tour were incredible but the nature walk was probably our favourite. Alejandro was a fantastic guide, we came from Canada and our Spanish isn’t great so it was very helpful he spoke English and he took great photos of us! Would recommend to anyone visiting Medellín

5.00I had an enjoyable day visiting the Medellin Botanical Gardens and then, by way of a series of cable cars, going to Parque Arvi. It was nice getting into nature so close to the city. Best part was my guide, Santiago. He was informative, pleasant and his English was easy to understand. Besides what we were seeing on the tour, he provided me with a lot of information and insights into Medellin and Colombia in general. Because I have some knee “issues” he altered the usual route in the park to accommodate me.

5.00A tremendous tour with lots of nature. We climbed with the cable metro to Arvi Park, a wonderful park. You breathe fresh air and there's a lot of peace. We did the tour with our fantastic Hanner guide. He knows everything and he was very attentive to us. The Botanical Park is also very beautiful, with plants, flowers and some animals.

1.00So disappointed not to be allowed in without my passport. The lady at the ticket office seemed to derive a great deal of pleasure in turning me away. The only blemish on an otherwise wonderful visit to Medellin.

5.00Wonderful trip. The description should include more information though. The park is a hike. We had a lovely time. A very peaceful trip. Our guide was very knowledgeable. It would be nice if the tour included food or had an option to or even time to stop to just buy it on our own. Recommend bringing snacks.
