Discover Bratislava with a licensed, independent local guide who knows the city deeply. I’ll show you the best of the historic center — iconic landmarks and stories you won’t find in a guidebook.
This tip-based tour is ideal for first-time visitors wanting to get oriented and understand the city.
Expect engaging explanations, time for questions, and honest recommendations. I never promote commission-based businesses. Groups are small (around 15–20 people).
The tour has two parts: the Old Town (1h 45m) and an optional uphill walk to the Castle grounds (45m).
Most guests leave €15–20 per person in total, including the €3–4 booking fee. The €3 you paid is a reservation fee securing your spot; it is shared between Viator and the guide. As your guide, I’m compensated primarily through tips at the end.
Tips accepted in cash or by card.

Cathedral of St. Martin is an impressive building where the history of the Kingdom of Hungary took place - the place of coronation of 18 Hungarian kings and queens and an important symbol of Bratislava. (Clients can enter to the Cathedral after the tour.)
Bratislava Old Town
The first part of the tour is designed as a walk through the old town, during which we enter the historical zone through the Vydrica gate and leave it through the St. Michael’s gate. We will mainly focus on historical contexts and gastronomy in a popular and entertaining way.
Traditional Slovak candies - as a small gift. :)

Fantastic tour. Sabastian does a great job of explaining Slovakian history and Bratislavan’ history and the tour goes through a lot of cool sites in old town ending at the best site of them all the castle. The authentic Slovakian restaurant he recommended was fantastic as well! (Kolik Kamzik Zelena)

Sebastian was an absolute delight, extremely funny, witty and smiley. He is clearly very passionate about the history of Bratislava and is very engaging in his delivery of the tour. I couldn’t recommend him more.

We were a group of 27 students from Norway who booked a guided tour with Sebastian. Sebastian was a wonderful guide as well as a wonderful person. He always made sure that nobody was left behind and gave us time to take pictures along the way. The tour itself was very nice, and we got to hear about the history of Bratislava and Slovakia, which he also illustrated with pictures. He met us at the hotel, where he first took us to the presidential palace, then the Bratislava castle, St. Martin's cathedral, and some spots around in the old town. He showed and told us about some small historical landmarks that we saw along the way, which we would never have learned about otherwise. At the very end of the tour, he gave us some recommendations on Slovak traditional dishes, pastries, and drinks. My fellow student and I truly recommend Sebastian, and also that you take the tour at the beginning of your trip in Bratislava so that you get the most out of your whole trip :)

Do not book with Bratislava City Walking Tour. Not reputable, rude customer service. Website difficult to navigate. Changed reservation day without notice and refused refund

Sebastian was wonderful! Very detailed and Thorough with the history of the city. Allowed opportunities to stop and try local cuisine and time to warm up since it was December. Flexible and willing to tailor the tour to what the group wants to learn most about. 10/10 highly recommend.
