Experience the best travel stories for yourself!
You may not immediately compare Brooklyn to a small town, but the hippest borough is made up of distinct community-oriented neighborhoods that thrive and blossom because of the local mom-and-pop businesses, many of which have been here for generations. Throughout this neighborhood food tour, we celebrate the businesses by telling the stories of the people involved, by sampling some of the delicious food being sold.

We have been on many food tours in many countries. This one was too long on the talking and too lean on the food. Seemed much more like a walking historical tour than a food tour. Consider another tour if you are hungry or a foodie.

Was such a great food tour around the neighborhood. Every mom and Pop store that we went into was super cute and delicious. Alex was amazing and pointed out a lot of the history and architecture that informed all of the food that we ate.

My friends and I had such a fun and delicious time on the Brownstone tour with Alex as our guide. We got to eat SO MANY delicious things and enjoy a truly stunning part of Brooklyn. Alex had so much great insider knowledge of the area, and peppered the tour with great history facts and personal anecdotes. Highly recommend!

Great tour with Brian, really knows the area and the food. It was nice to get some of the history of the neighborhoods and shops. The food samplings were all very good, especially liked the hot chocolate and truffle at the end of the tour.

My husband and I go on a food tour most places we travel. This time, my nephew and some friends in the city joined us. We all agreed that this tour was okay. Our tour guide was 15 minutes late, which I understand happens, but she often seemed flustered with our group if we weren't promptly ready to go at every stop. I liked the focus of the tour being on local businesses, but the food was nothing special, and the portions felt a little chintzy at times. For example, for the first stop, we received 1/2 of a croissant. Next time, spring for the entire croissant. My favorite part of the tour was learning more about Brooklyn. I've done the Chinatown and Little Italy food tours in Manhattan. I would recommend those tours over this one.

My wife and I loved Mickey and her tour! She was so knowledgeable and took us to some really cool parts of Brooklyn, and we got to try some amazing treats from local family owned businesses, all while getting a great history tour of the place. Definitely recommend it! Lots of love from Australia!
