Angie was AMAZING! Even before we met for the excursion she was extremely helpful as our group of 6 had another tour just before our foodie tour with her and she was kind enough to coordinate things and actually meet us where our first tour ended (saving us time, keeping us from getting lost, and just making it more convenient for us). She was very knowledgeable, congenial, accommodating and made the time together fun and engaging. She was very generous with the number of foodie offerings and the amounts of each for our group. Angie was a delight - interesting information, enlightening stories, fun foodie places and great food all made the tour memorable and unique. Angie loves Budapest and her passion for the city, its people and its food showed. If we are ever in Budapest again I will be sure to look up Angie for any other tours or excursions! Thanks Angie!

Lorinc was a wonderful guide. He listened to us and what our interests were, and tailored our experience accordingly. We never felt rushed, and he spent plenty of time explaining not only food information but local history. We would happily go on another tour with him.

This was a well-led walk through some of Budapest’s lively neighborhoods. Guide Agnes quickly adapted her plans to match up with my interests, making it a very personalized experience. We sampled food, discussed local art, culture and history, and all in a relaxed way. This is a great way to experience a city for the first time.

Excellent food choices. We certainly felt like we were eating like a local. The historical stops between tastings were both relevant and interesting to us. Great time all around.

Completed an incomplete and unorganized food tour with Agnes. My son and I started the food tour at a local indoor market and half the market was closed, and were limited to trying pastries. We later stopped by a corner shop pastry place called Vaj. I felt this was an establishment was not unique and people stopped by for coffee and pastries. Agnes then attempted to find local places to eat and all three restaurants were closed. Agnes mentioned every time she was 99% sure the restaurants are open and were not. She then attempted to see and try another two places and after one hour of walking, I decided to end the tour. The food tour was poorly planned and our tour guide should have planned ahead of time to ensure the establishments were open for business. Instead of relying on Google to check if the establishments were open, Agnes could have called the restaurant instead. I do not recommend this food tour to potential customers and certainly not worth $241 USD.

Kristzian met us at our hotel. After asking us what we were interested in doing, he decided that a tour of the Food Market was what we would do. As we walked to the market, he told us about the history of the area we were in. At the market, we toured the first floor filled with local foods and alcohol. On the second floor, we decided to try some traditional Hungarian dishes that were very good. We left the market and traveled by public transportation to a pastry shop where we had pastry and lemonade. We concluded the tour with Kristzian sharing additional information about his city.

Angie was just great! She really took her time with our family and had wonderful places for us to visit that were not the typical touristy places. She gave us great insight into the food and culture of Budapest. We all would highly recommend her. It was a pleasure to meet you, thank you!

Krisztian was an excellent guide! We tasted a variety of different foods, including Hungarian Goulash, little dumplings, and the digestive, Unicom, and truly enjoyed walking through Budapest with a local on a Saturday night who could show us all the great places to eat, and was also knowledgeable about the history that made Budapest what it is today. He was friendly and entertaining, and made it a fabulous night for a couple of 70 somethings. Thanks, Krisztian! . Thanks, Krisztian!

We paired this tour with a general sightseeing tour to get a good feel for what Budapest has to offer in one day. Our guide was Krisztian who was extremely flexible with meeting us in a new location due to our first tour running a bit long. The food was amazing. We focused on trying Hungarian dishes which, of course, was a major reason for the trip. I'd give this tour 4.5 stars if the system allowed it. The purpose for not giving this a full five star review is that I walked away wishing we had the opportunity to have more dishes or more restaurants on the agenda. That said, the conversation we had with Krisztian about Hungarian history and culture was fantastic and perfectly complemented our morning tour.
