Most of the sites we saw were either very beautiful or very meaningful, which I really enjoyed. The group size was also nice, not too large and not too small. I think there were around 10 people in total. Our tour guide was very informative throughout. I felt the duration of the tour was not too long, although some of my companions felt differently. We were carrying heavy bags, so that may have influenced our opinions. One thing I would have liked is if there had been intentional time set aside at each stop for pictures and videos. For example, after the tour guide explained the history of a site, it would have been nice to have around 5 minutes to take photos. Honestly, I assumed that was part of why the tour lasted 2 hours. If 2 or 3 of the sites had been removed to allow more time for taking pictures/videos, it would have been perfect. Overall, the tour was good until the end, when we found out from the tour guide that the 'tips' she mentioned at the start were not only compulsory, but also had a minimum amount we were supposed to give (around 4 euros, which we gave begrudgingly). She explained that the money we paid online through Tripadvisor was only the booking fee and that none of it went to her, but honestly the whole thing felt scammy. She said this tipping arrangement is usually stated in emails or on the booking page, but I checked both and nowhere was it mentioned. To be honest, I'm not surprised because £1.32 per person sounded too good to be true. I do not even have a problem with paying more than that for a tour, but why is it being done in a sneaky way? Why is the full cost not added to the booking site, or why is it not clearly mentioned anywhere that you'll later be expected to pay another amount directly to the tour guide?
