Chor Minor Madrasah

Palace of Moon-like Stars (Sitorai-Mokhi-Khosa)
Sitorai Mokhi Khosa, located just outside Bukhara, is a beautiful palace that served as the summer residence of the last emirs of Bukhara. Built in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, the palace blends traditional Islamic architecture with Russian and European influences, reflecting the diverse cultural interactions of the time. The name "Sitorai Mokhi Khosa" means "Star and Moon Palace," symbolizing its elegance. 5.00We had an excellent experience. We booked an exclusive tour for two of us. The guide, Mr. Dilshad, was perfect. He took us around in his vehicle to the various historical locations. He was very patient with us and answered all of our questions. We are grateful that he shared his personal experiences and made our tour memorable.

5.00It was a wonderful experience exploring Bukhara with our guide Shakhlo. There were four of us, women, traveling together. I think having a woman as a guide made a big difference. She told us about things a man guide would never tell because men and women there live in different worlds. It was very interesting (without judging) to look at life in Uzbekistan through women's eyes. Shakhlo is very nice and very knowledgeable, has interesting stories to tell, and we truly enjoyed our day with her. We were also very happy that through Viator we were able to book our Bukhara tour late in the evening and the tour started early next morning.
