Orang Utan Island is not just an attraction; it is a vital project aimed at educating the public on the importance of protecting endangered species and their environments. The island located in the outskirts where the traveling time may take up to 3 hours back and forth.
Chew Jetty
Walk through time at Chew Jetty, the largest and most intact of Penang's historic clan jetties. Part of the Penang Heritage Trail, this waterfront settlement is built on stilts over the water, offering a glimpse into the lives of the Chinese immigrants who settled here over a century ago.

5.00What an incredible experience getting up so close to Orangutan’s. Our amazing guide Ernest Loh looked after us from the minute he picked us up till the minute he dropped us back at the hotel. He was very knowledgeable about his country and was kind enough to share the best place for us to visit. When visiting the orangutan’s he had brought a bag of apples/oranges and juice which we were able to feed to the orangutan’s. Would highly recommended booking this private trip, definitely worth every penny!

5.00This was the best tour! If you have the opportunity to do this, ask for Chrys to be your guide! We were on a cruise and she communicated with us, directed where to meet, and adjusted our schedule on the go. We arrived a bit later than expected and she adjusted our tickets for the Orang Utan. She was well organized, kind, and the entire trip felt like I was touring with a friend. Once at the Orang Utan island, she brought food to entice the orangutans and even got us special treatment. The entire day was informative and fun!! Highly recommend this day excursion

5.00Chrys created the most magical day for us! From the minute she met us at the ship until our delivery back there she was a delight to spend time with, enabled us to see and experience so much, and managed our time incredibly well. She knew just the places to show us and stories to tell to give us an appreciation for old town, took us to the best photo spots and captured such fun pictures for us and, best of all, made sure we had an amazing connection with the orangutans at the sanctuary. She knows each of the orangutans and their favorite treats—and was patient about finding the right window of time, despite the presence of a group who was also visiting, to help us have close up time with these precious creatures.

5.00Excellent tour. Our guide Chrys was friendly, knowledgeable and thoughtful. She brought fruit to encourage the orangutans to come close so we could feed them. Bukit Merah Orangatan sanctuary was a great place to them. The orangutans looked healthy and happy. We highly recommend this tour.

5.00Our trip with Chrys was amazing. She was very professional and funny. Her local knowledge was excellent. The orang utan sanctuary was great. We saw a lot of orang utan and we were able to hand feed them and we were not rushed. Great value for money.

5.00Pick up by Ernest our driver .was easy The drive to the sanctuary was good. On arrival we where taken on small boat to the island, Every where was beautiful and clean. Our walk was fantastic as our driver brought food to feed the animals. He was a wonderful chap always checking if we needed anything. Highly recommend Ernest as a tour guide. David

5.00I had the most amazing day. Fetched from my hotel I met with Chrys. Very friendly person who was professional and efficient the whole day and she made this experience extra special. The Orangutan Sanctuary is gorgeous. The boat across and the beautiful location adds to the wonderful experience of seeing these creatures. Chrys brought along some food which made the close up encounter even more special. Chrys enhanced the day with local information and knowledge and we visited the Chew Jetty and sites in Georgetown on our return. I cannot recommend the trip or Chrys highly enough. 😀

5.00The water levels were to low for us to go to the island but we had a great day at the zoo instead. Wasn'tvwhat we had hoped for but things happen and our guide did a great job amd took lots of pictures for us as well.
