Absolutely wonderful tour. The nomads were so passionate, calm, friendly and caring, the 1 night in the desert was truly an experience to remember. Riding on the camels (its actually dromedans) was so nice and then cooking dinner in the desert and spending the night was so much fun i would go again in a heartbeat, absolutely worth the money!

We had an absolutely incredible experience with Alli during our two-day tour of the Tozeur region, and we couldn’t have chosen a better guide to accompany us on this journey. From the very first moment, Alli was extremely punctual, kind, good-humored and deeply knowledgeable about Tunisian culture and history. The itinerary was very well planned and balanced between adventure, nature, culture and moments of contemplation. We visited the mountain oases in Chebika and Tamerza, where Alli explained in great detail about the geography, local traditions and the historical importance of water for the region. The experience of driving through the dunes in a Jeep to the Star Wars film set was exciting and authentic — Alli knows all the secret paths of the desert, which made it all the more special. At night, the desert camp was magical. The local food was delicious, the hospitality impeccable and we had an unforgettable experience riding camels under the sunset in the Sahara desert. The starry sky completed the night in a poetic way. Alli took care of every detail with care and attention, always making us feel safe and comfortable, even during the most adventurous parts of the tour. On the second day, we continued on to Douz, explored the local market and returned with the feeling of having experienced something unique. The transportation was always very comfortable, and Alli drove responsibly the whole time. I highly recommend Alli to anyone who wants to experience Tunisia in a genuine, safe and enriching way. He is not only a guide, but a true host of his culture and a natural storyteller. Thank you, Alli, for sharing so much with us. This trip will be forever in our memories!

Mustafa our camalier, was a gem. Kind, patient and attentive. He is a nomad, as his been his family of many generations, and brings the richness of this to the experience. Our guide, Ali, was a good addition to the process and had a solid background of the richness that Tunisia offers.

The camel trip met our basic expectations in that it was a genuine camel ride to an overnight camping stay in the desert. Our enjoyment came mainly from our wonderful cameleer, Izadeen, who was also a great cook & singer! However, it would have also been useful to know that the camel trip is from Douz, not from Tozeur, & that we were driven across the great salt lake Chott el Djerid, (which was interesting, if unexpected) from Tozeur to Douz. Also, that the camel trip goes just 7km south of Douz, so there are no giant sand dunes, there is still mobile phone reception & some city lights at night. The camp site is a random spot in the desert with no facilities. Our cameleer was wonderful, but spoke no English. The camel trip back the next day was also very uncomfortable for us.

The experience was just perfect. Everything was arranged with attention to details, planned in a great manner with nice staff, with deep experience and with many stories to tell. The tour was amazing and the night in the desert was great too: great space in tents, comfortable mattress, and flexibility in order to meet everybody’s needs. Definitely recommended.
