Lung Ngoc Hoang Forest – Nature & History Tour from Can Tho Pick-up At 8:00 AM or 1:30 PM, an English-speaking driver will collect you from your hotel in Can Tho. Lung Ngoc Hoang Wetland Only 1 hour away, this 2,800-hectare hidden reserve is a quiet haven for nature lovers and one of the Mekong Delta’s best-kept secrets. What You’ll Experience • Boat ride through untouched canals covered in water hyacinth and water lettuce, surrounded by lush wetland forest. • Panoramic views from the 25 m watchtower overlooking forests, rice fields and wetlands. • Birdwatching with thousands of birds in flight and the sounds of nature all around. • Optional 1.4 km nature walk or return by boat if you prefer not to trek. Return Back to Can Tho around 12:30 PM or 6:00 PM (timing may vary slightly).

5.00One of the best experiences during my visit to Vietnam, Daisy was an excellent guide. The boat felt a bit wobbly, but the boatman seemed experienced, and we reached our destination without getting wet.

5.00It was wonderful. We were picked by car from the hotel, met Nick (he runs Local Mint Travel company) and two more people at the local market, had a chance to buy some fruits and to hear more about different vegetables and fruits from Nick. Then we went by comfortable car to the natural resort, had a short walk to the farm with the goats, peacocks and ducks, and to the motor boat, that brought us around the park, showing different plants, honey bee nest, snails and birds (cormorants, herons, ducks), the landscape is so green and just unbelievable! Unique experience! Then we went on top of the three-floor tower to see the park and a large river from above, while flower peckers and other tiny and large birds were flying around us. Perfect spot for photography above the tree crowns. Nick has kindly organized a free drink and snack (local fruits) for us. On the way back we have chosen to walk through the park, and seen blooming lotus, termite nest, water hyacinth that sweetly smells stronger if you pour water on it, and a large garden lizard. On the way throught the farms and gardens seen many interesting plants, and Nick was answering all our questions, explaining the local traditions and habits. He speaks English very good, so you can enjoy the conversation with Nick. Then we went to the huge ficus tree, with mini temple and chicken family, it was possible to climb the tree and to take some great photos. The whole tour is easy, includes short walks in the shadow, wonderful scenery, interesting information. We highly recommend it!!!
