Uchisar Castle
UCHISAR is a troglodyte village situated 4 km east of Göreme. It is famous for the huge rock formation once used as a fortification. This extraordinary rock is the highest peak in the region and offers a magnificent panoramic view of the whole of Cappadocia with Mt. Erciyes in the distance.Most rooms in the castle are connected to each other with stairs, tunnels and passages. At the entrances of many rooms, there are millstone doors, just like the ones in the underground settlements, used to control access to these places. Due to erosion it is unfortunately not possible to reach all the rooms. Most of the rooms, located on the north side of the castle are still in use as pigeon houses (dovecotes) today. Farmers used these pigeon houses to collect the droppings of pigeons which is an excellent natural fertilizer for the orchards and vineyards

4.00We asked for an additional airport transfer and were able to leave our luggage after arriving at the hotel and join the tour. Our guide Mali and driver Halil were also very kind. The tour itself was a little different from what we planned due to time, but they were resourceful and we enjoyed it. I'm not good at English, but Mali's explanation was easy to understand. The tour price is also reasonable, so we recommend it.

5.00We enjoyed the tour very much. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable so we learned a lot about the history of Cappodocia. The only downside of the tour was that it was too cold. It would have been much more enjoyable if it was a warmer day.

5.00It was a wonderful trip and I enjoyed it very much. I visited the museum, the castle, the underground city, and other places. We had lunch, and the group was very nice. The tour guide was more than wonderful; she explained everything to us in detail about each site, and the driver was also very nice.

5.00Eren was lovely, very knowledgeable, a bit self - deprecating and funny. Very personable, confident but not too full of himself. Even my 3 teenagers enjoyed his jokes. Tours very good. Wish we had longer in some places, but of course not possible to do so and get around everywhere in 1 day. We went off season and visited a pottery which was nice, but some of the pottery staff were annoyed / rude to us since we didn't throw money at them. This was the only negative, and did not take away from the excellent tour nor the generous nature of our tour guide or driver. We chose not to purchase buffet lunch at the restaurant ( some of the people on the tour had booked with lunch included and said it was not that great) and Eren advised of an alternative place to visit for snacks or a rest if we wished to. We did - the gas station had a amazing reasonably priced food and drinks with a cafe area, clean bathroom , seating area and a masjid nearby. The tour we booked did not include museum entrance which was 12 eu per head ( children and adults ) for 2 places ( combined ) and 50 tl ( about 1 eu ) each at the undergroubd city discovered in 2018. I learnt so much and I am keen to learn more. So inspiring, eye opening, educational and entertaining!

5.00If this is your first time to Türkiye or Cappadoccia, and if you are like me who isn’t confident about driving differently from your home country then it’s logical to just get a tour guide and driver for your trip here to beautiful Cappadoccia. The driver is pretty careful, and helps with loading my luggage from airport pick up. Car was clean and comfy. Tour guide Erbil speaks great English and I had so much information about Türkiye and Cappadoccia from this trip. I think without them I wouldn’t have been able to discover the magnificent beauty of Cappadoccia. Adnan helped with planning, and considering the time differences between our countries, his replies are pretty prompt. There are shopping points (just like most of any other tours in any other countries), there’s no obligations to buy. Overall, loved the trip. I would really do another in depth visit to Cappadoccia again ❤️

5.00Had great experience with tour Guide Volkan. He was very knowledgeable and very fluent in English. Very friendly, flexible with plan and accommodating according to the needs of the group. He took us to all highlights of the city/regions and explained everything with the historic backgrounds. Smooth pick and drop from hotel. Totally recommend to book this group as they will coverup maximum attractions in one day which we cannot on our own.
