Great day trip through key sights in Tunis. Very well planned and executed for efficiency, with both a driver and a guide. Highly recommend our guide Khaled - he had a fantastic wry sense of humor and struck a great balance of providing detailed information and giving us space to explore on our own. We appreciated how he intentionally sequenced different stops to minimize crowds and provide a truly local experience. Driver Oussema was also solid - punctual, friendly, and responsive. This is a great way to make the most of a day in Tunis and see all of the key sights

Private tour does not pick up at locations offered. Cruise port is listed as possible pick up location but after booking, even with it stating your pickup is at the cruise terminal we were notified our private pickup was 8 miles away at a hotel. Maher in customer service was useless and not nice to deal with. Bonus, our driver Shihab was amazing and Tunis is beautiful

We had an absolutely amazing experience costing Carthage, Sidi Bou Said, and Medina amongst some amazing archaeological sites! From start to finish, everything was perfectly organized, comfortable, and full of fascinating insights into Tunisia’s rich culture and history. Faycel was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, bringing each site to life with stories and historical details we would have never discovered on our own. Carthage was breathtaking — standing among the ancient ruins with views of the sea and the city. We also explored the charming blue-and-white streets of Sidi Bou Said, which looked like something out of a postcard. It was the perfect spot to relax, grab some wonderful local food and take in the views of the Mediterranean. Finally, wandering through the Medina of Tunis was a wonderful way to experience local life, traditional crafts, and the warm Tunisian hospitality. The private tour allowed us to go at our own pace, ask questions, and truly enjoy every stop without feeling rushed. It was the ideal mix of history, culture, and scenic beauty. Highly recommend this tour and Faycel to anyone visiting Tunis — it’s a fantastic way to see some of the country’s most iconic sites in one day!

The Bardo was amazing!! Our guide Kamel was so knowledgeable, his explanations thorough and the history made very clear. The driver was excellent and Sidi Bou Said was a beautiful town with picturesque buildings and viewpoints.

Lots of different situation to visit it Carthage, personally after 2 they're very similar. More time is definitely required for Sid Bou. I'd skip the medina in Tunis and fo a city walking tour. French influence and history galore. Fst more interesting than cheap market fake goods. The Bardi museum was such an awe inspiring experience. Treasures after treasure, room after room. You genuinely need 2hrs to see it all

It was not good. It started with Bad communication about a meeting spot. I had reached out weeks prior to our cruise to ensure there would be no connection issues but never got a response. It was published that cruise port pickup required an additional fee which I acknowledged. A day prior to my arrival they sent an email that I did not receive because I was on a ship that they could meet me at the port with no charge. When I inquired through the app to where we were to meet, I was sent to a hotel in Tunis (40€). Imagine my surprise when I arrived at the hotel and found no one waiting for me. I reached out through the app again and was told that they were on their way from the port. The tour operator could not locate us at the port and was just leaving the port. They said they were on their way to pick us up but it would be 40 minutes. I inquired with Viator about a partial refund due to the mix up of my additional time loss and expense. They said they would request a partial refund from the tour operator. When the tour operator received the request, they cancelled my tour without telling me, leaving me in downtown Tunis. After about an hour (me not knowing my tour was cancelled), I reached out again to check on the status of my pick up. Only then did I learn I had been cancelled. After sharing screen shots of the evidence that I did not cancel the tour, the operator agreed to send a ‘car’ to pick me up. 40 minutes later, a random guy in a non-taxi looking Suzuki pulls up to a curb and indicates through the international language of finger pointing, making a phone hand sign, and louder and louder Arabic to get in the car as he is my driver. He took us on a ‘scenic’ tour of the real Tunis. I felt like I might be slipping into a Liam Nieson movie. The situation was worsened by the fact that my driver apparently spoke a dialect of Arabic that my google translate only understood every third word. After a 30 minute tour of the raw parts of Tunis, he pulled onto a side street, next to a white van marked “Tunisian Tours” pointed to another guy standing by the van and said “go”. My new chaperone spoke very limited English, but told me 20 minutes, and asked us to sit in the van. He was polite enough to give us a couple of bottles of water, smiled a lot, and kept checking his phone. 45 minutes later, we left and caught up to the group that we were supposed to be with. We didn’t get to see the Bardo museum, even though the tour price included admission tickets. We then went through the rest of the tour with the guide and some other people from our ship. One couple had also been told to go to the hotel as well but they were picked up. We were standing at the opposite corner of the block, they left on the whole tour unbeknownst to us. The only reason I’m giving this experience 2 stars, is because of the amazing sites of Carthage and I felt the guide did his best to make the most of our time. I requested a partial refund through Viator but was denied any refund. Based upon the tour operator, I’m not surprised. My recommendation is to spend more time in Carthage and not use time at Sidi Bou Said if you are on a limited time schedule. The guide was obviously in concert with some of the venders in the shopping area and after a 5-6 block walk through the city, we were introduced to his venders. Not a good tour for people with mobility challenges. We were returned to the port in time to catch our ship.

This experience gave us a great overview of part of Tunisia’s history. The activities were varied. Our guide, Dorra, guided us in a beautiful way and introduced us to several facets of Tunisian culture. Excellent logistics, both for pick-up from Hammamet and during the day. Thanks to Dorra and our great driver!

I booked a private tour, with just 2 people….. but 8 more were added to this tour! They had older people that were very slow walking…. But, they were very nice. The guide was good about working all of the group to stay together and he managed our time well enough that we were able to make it to all of the destinations despite the slow ones! (Mr. Mahor was our guide) I do feel that I was misled that it was a private tour. Some of the others joining were coughing in the van so we hope we don’t get sick from them!? All of the listed destinations were wonderful, and the cab driver was safe in all of the traffic!

no contact was made in advance so we wasted a hour trying to find our guide. we were taken to 2 places in the market for a sales pitch. we did not appreciate that! Often was difficult to understand our guide. He was very knowledgeable on the history

We booked a day trip to the ruins of Carthage, the Bardo Museum or the Amphitheatre of El Djem, as well as the artists village Sidi Bou Said. The driver Ahmed, and our tour guide Bouhdid picked us up on time at the hotel. Completely stress-free we were allowed to set the pace of the visits ourselves. Guide Bouhdid spoke German very well and explained everything wonderfully to us, even our questions he could answer all the best. Along the way we also visited some shops and learned about the production of the typical goods such as perfume, carpets or jewellery. It was all voluntary and so you didn't feel compelled to buy. We would like to thank both for the wonderful travel day and can highly recommend them.
