Once arriving at Catalina island at around 10am, you will be able to snorkel “the Wall”, where you’ll admire beautiful corals reef. Afterwards you will sail to the other side of the island, to the “aquarium” where you will enjoy a lovely meal on board of the catamaran.

What To Expect
Quetzal Cata Excursion
Board at 9 am on to the Quetzal and sail for an hour to the island of Catalina. You will arrive around 10am, where you will be able to snorkel “The Wall”, you’ll admire beautiful corals. Afterwards we will sail to the other side of the island, to the “Aquarium” where you will enjoy a lovely meal on board of the catamaran. After lunch you will have time to relax on the beach of Catalina, snorkel and see loads of different kinds of fishes. We will leave around 3 pm to sail back towards Bayahibe. On our way back we will take our time and cruise along the coast of Casa del Campo, where you’ll get explanations from our national guide. We’ll end the day by a cruise up the river Chavon, famously known for its beautiful jungle scenery used in many movies!

5.00Our trip to Catalina was so fun! We went on this excursion while on honeymoon and enjoyed every minute. The snorkel spots were awesome - had a lot of colorful fish and starfish. Definitely the best snorkeling I’ve done in the Caribbean. Our tour guide was very sweet and the service was great. They gave us sandwiches for snacks and a buffet of pasta, chicken, beef, salad and fresh fruit for lunch. They also offer sprite and coke rum cocktails with fresh lime - simple but delicious. We also appreciated having a small group for our tour. We’ve done tours with large amounts of people before and it’s just not the same. Having a smaller group definitely makes it easier to see everything and spread out and enjoy the boat. If I ever go back, I would definitely go on this excursion again!!

5.00We had an awesome time on our catamaran trip with Octzacal.....very relaxing with 2 snorkeling trips..lunch was yummy and grilled right.on the boat. Everything was really organized from the pick up/drop off to the water taxis. Charlotte and the crew were all super fun and allowed for a great adventure!! Thanks so much!

5.00We scoured the internet for so long trying to find an authentic tour to Saona or Catalina Island and eventually I came across these guys. I’m so glad we did as the trip was incredible! They are the only company I could find who were offering a relaxing and natural experience and not promoting “Booze Cruise” “Party Boat” “Loud Music”. It’s such a shame so many operators ruin the natural beauty by packing boats out with blaring music. My wife and I did the Catalina Island tour and it was such a relaxing day out, coasting along on the calm catamaran before incredible snorkelling at two spots and then a BBQ on the boat before sailing up river. Food was incredible quality and really well cooked and the whole crew were incredibly attentive the whole day. I could not recommend these guys any higher. My wife is pregnant and this was the only tour we found where we actually felt comfortable booking. We saw other boats completely packed with people and it looked awful. Thanks so much for an unforgettable day out!
