This is by far the best experience ever to saona island! We started the tour only 13 people group and early in the morning so we were the first to arrive in the island and we enjoyed it to the fullest! I cannot say enough for the staff and the tour operator malvin! He treated us very nicely with a delicious breakfast and lunch and showed us the pure magic of the island by snorkelling while looking for starfish and he even took pictures of us and shared with all of us with no scams and extreme prices. He is the one you should trust to make your experience to saona truly once in a lifetime!

We loved this tour. The company was easy to communicate with and provided all information in a timely manner before the tour. The speedboat ride is bumpy but cool! The biggest perk is definitely arrived early to the beach on Saona before the crowds get there. Definitely recommend bringing towels, sunscreen, and bug spray. The starfish sandbar and the reef snorkeling were extra special as well! Included in the tour is information about the islands and the areas which is something most don’t offer and definitely added to our experience.

This is a legitimate excursion hosted to the Saona Island in DR. -This is fit for someone who is seeking a personal and intimate sized group; it’s 24 people at most. The attention to detail is top tier and the host/ owner Melvin is a true professional. He and his team work hard to provide and navigate a memorable experience for their customers. -The pick up from your indicated location ( drop down option list when booking) was punctual. (We had a small concern on pickup within our resort but between the resort and driver of the excursion- we were picked up successfully). It’s you and other booked customers who get picked up in a van. You meet Melvin and are provided a meaningful history of the country. -Next, you are brought to a rest stop, offered restroom opportunities and a small store to purchase things you choose such as snacks or coffee. -Next, you are taken to the port where a speedboat awaits with your group. From here, you make three pit stops. The first one is to Mano Juan island/ village where a community resides and you truly get a look at their town. Here you get a turtle in service and meet the local who saves / helps turtles with also a vendor within the hut who sells souvenirs. CASH is the way. Melvin and his team provide sandwiches and light refreshments. This was very kind! -Next, you go to Saona Island. This is where clear clue or turquoise water awaits. You spend time here, enjoy the sand and water and are hosted a great lunch buffet! It’s five or six items such as chicken / pork/ salad/ fruit. It’s delightful and very flavorful! -Next, you get to snorkel and see starfish in the Sandbar (you can stand and walk, the water is not sea deep, I am short). -After some time there, you go to the reef where it is deep waters 21-25’. Also, optional, you remain in the boat for the time and hang out in the sun. -Finally, you are back at the port where he and his team offer restroom opportunities and help you rinse your feet/ shoes. These are the details that matter! You get on your way home in the van again. -I am recommending this entirely. As a tourist, the safety and reassurance was there. There was not a language barrier and you are respected for your time. The team cater to you and are very thoughtful in overseeing activities and helping you as you need. -appropriate for friends, couples, families ! *** the speedboat does have bumps and jumps and if this is a factor in your health, it can be worth considering. The seats were comfortable but again, you’re on a speedboat.

Been to the Caribbean many times. By far the best trip. Spend the extra money and avoid the party boat with 100 ppl.

This was an all around breathtaking day. We fell in love with the island and had the best guides to show us all that the Isla Saona and Mano Juan had to offer. We saw starfish and snorkelled with tons of fish in the reef. The landscapes were picture perfect and we got plenty of time to really enjoy the island.

This excursion was by far the best we have done in the 3 years we have came to Punta Cana. From boat ride to swim on off Saona Island to seeing baby turtles at the sanctuary and then a nice hot buffet lunch. Then back on the boat to see sea turtles by the mangroves and then snorkeling to see starfish. Then snorkeling over reefs while seeing all kinds of fish. What else could you ask for.

This is an early start but well worth it to beat the crowds to Saona Island. It also gives you time to visit the conservation project with Negro Tortuga. Melvin and his team were great hosts and looked after us really well. The food was good too and we really enjoyed the trip. Highly recommended.

This was an excellent trip from start to finish. Melvin was an excellent guide and his team were all helpful and good fun. Our tour had 24 people in it in two separate speed boats. On the bus journey to the boat Melvin gave us a quick history lesson about Haiti and Dominican Republic which was fascinating. Our first stop was the turtle sanctuary and it was wonderful to see the work that is being done there and getting to see baby turtles was a highlight. As we were picked up so early, 06:25 from our hotel, we got to Abanico beach before the other tours so we pretty much had the beach to ourselves. The beach and crystal clear waters are stunning. This is where we had lunch and as a vegetarian I was pleasantly surprised by the food. Drinks are free flowing during the trip and I certainly enjoyed a rum or two. We left the beach just as the hordes arrived which was perfect timing. On the way back we went to the mangroves where we saw turtles and then Palmilla beach where we saw lots of starfish. Our last stop was snorkelling where we saw so many different fish as well as seeing flying fish while on the speedboat. The whole trip from start to finish was so well done and at the end Melvin shared all the photos that he had taken during the day. I highly recommend this trip. 10/10

Wow this was an awesome time! This experience was much better than the others offered to Saona. This was a small group, we had 10 total, awesome history lesson on the way. We got to Saona early and enjoyed the quiet beach for an hour before the party folks arrived. The lunch was amazing! Then guided snorkeling by Melvin. Would recommend!
