Most people know a theme park inspired by one famous mouse. But one dedicated to monkeys? At Monkeyland, a natural habitat located deep in the Dominican Republic’s jungle and home to squirrel monkeys. On this 5.5-hour guided tour where you'll also explore the habitat's on-site botanical garden, as well as a coffee and cacao plantation. Chat it up with local farmers, learn about their organic methods and taste tropical fruit just plucked from a tree. Hotel transport from Punta Cana and Bavaro is included.

We visited Monkeyland in Punta Cana and had a great experience overall. The tour was well organized, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and the monkeys were clearly well cared for in a clean and natural environment. It was both fun and educational. Booking directly on Monkeyland’s own website seemed a little complicated, although it can probably be done without issues. Since the price through XPO Tours was the same, we chose the easier option. We booked through Nancy from XPO Tours, and her customer service was excellent—very responsive, helpful, and clear throughout the process. Everything went exactly as expected, and the experience was completely stress-free. We would definitely recommend Monkeyland Punta Cana

Such a great trip for our family. The bus ride was smooth, and our guide took the opportunity to talk about Punta Cana and each area we passed through. The demonstration on how coffee and hot chocolate is made was good- although perhaps a bit long for younger kids to sit through. It was nice though that we had the opportunity to purchase coffee and stuff afterwards though. The visit with the monkeys was the best. It's clear they're well cared for and looked after. We were surprised by how soft and light they are. There were tons of chances to have the monkeys climb on you. In addition to having a professional photographer on site (you can get all the pictures for $50 USD- highly recommend it), they let you take your own picture and videos. Every guide we met with was kind, informative and helped make it a memorable experience. Our sons, ages 11 and 8 had an absolute blast- definitely a highlight of our trip! I wish we had done some of the other things this company offered while we were there.

Such a cool experience! I enjoyed tasting the coffee and cacao right from the source and learning about the local agriculture. The monkeys are so cute and the interactions were fun!! Angel was an amazing tour guide - loved his passion for Dominican people and culture. One of the most personable and fun tour guides I’ve gotten to experience! Thanks Angel!!

This tour was the worst I’ve ever had. It felt like a scam. On the way to the park, the tour guide promised us a visit to Monkeyland and local farms to see how local produce is cultivated. Monkeyland was okay. The monkeys were cute, but they’re not native to the DR. They were brought here from South America and are simply kept for tourism. After Monkeyland, we were taken to a room where the tour guide spent nearly an hour trying to sell us coffee, cacao, and other souvenirs. That was it. After the lecture, we were taken back to the bus and sent home. There were no farms at all. I can’t believe this tour cost me $100.

5-Star visit to Monkeyland in Puerto Plata was absolutely fantastic and a highlight of our trip. We toured with Runners Adventures, and everything was first-class. Matias was a wonderful guide—informative, fun, and very helpful. Juan drove us safely in a clean, comfortable bus. The interactive experience with the friendly squirrel monkeys was pure joy and unforgettable. Terrific fun and highly recommended!

The tour guide with the name tag “synsational” was very good. Gave us knowledge about the cities and knowledge about the Dominican culture. Also he’s hilarious!
