Absolutely disaster, we had a pick up time at 1:10 PM yesterday for monkey land because the car was late and I receive no message from the company so it makes us wait outside of the meeting point . we waited for an hour almost. That lead to my niece had a heat stroke.

Great experience riding through small towns and countryside to and from the sanctuary/plantation. The monkey experience was one of a kind, and the cocoa/coffee tour was very informative. All of the employees were very friendly and provided an excellent experience.

We’re so glad we went with Runner’s adventures for the Monkeyland experience. The monkeys were so freaking cute and jumped all over you. The staff was so friendly, and made sure they told everyone how to be safe and to keep the moneys safe. I read so many reviews of people’s time with monkeys being very short. We got probably 45 minutes with the monkeys alone! They gave us ample time to take our own photos with our phones, but they also took professional photos too in case you wanted them. They showed us how cocoa, coffee, and coconut oil were made. The smell of the grinds were so amazing you could smell them from 20 ft away. They also let you taste coffee (Dominican style - sweet), hot cocoa, and Mama Juana (alcoholic) if you wanted to. Then they gave you a chance to purchase anything you wanted out of those. The ride to and from were in an air conditioned shuttle. We saw many other groups were in an “open air” safari car. It was hot out and the drive was about 40 minutes so I was glad we were in the shuttle. The monkey land experience was definitely our favorite. Do it!

The monkeys were amazing! The tour allows you alot of time to spend with the monkeys and take your own pictures and videos. Getting there and back is a journey but our tour guide Sammy was great with pointing out points of interest and explaining the way of life in the Dominican.

The drive to the excursion was really long which we didn’t expect. But our guide Sammy was AMAZING. He had so much knowledge and talked about the culture on the way. He was also funny and kept us laughing. The guy talking about the cacao and coffee was also funny and had a lot of knowledge to give. The monkeys were sssooo much fun! Who knew they were so light! I was worried we would be rushed through them but we weren’t. I like that you can take your own pictures or buy the ones they take for you. The trip back they drove a lot faster! All in all good trip and with the money.
