Most people know a theme park inspired by one famous mouse. But one dedicated to monkeys? At Monkeyland, a natural habitat located deep in the Dominican Republic’s jungle and home to squirrel monkeys. On this 5.5-hour guided tour where you'll also explore the habitat's on-site botanical garden, as well as a coffee and cacao plantation. Chat it up with local farmers, learn about their organic methods and taste tropical fruit just plucked from a tree. Hotel transport from Punta Cana and Bavaro is included.

5.00Monkeyland and the plantation was amazing! The workers were super kind and friendly. Our guide Sexi Papi 6 and driver Corpus Christi were phenomenal. Overall an unforgettable experience. Especially happy with how well cared for the monkeys were.

4.00Had a wonderful time led by Eddy and driven by Felis, Eddy was very knowledgeable and the scenic drive in the open bus to the plantation / monkeyland was great. The Monkeyland section with Alejandro was a great experience (no bags / sun cream / insect repellent allowed for monkeys) and really enjoyed learning about the coffee and cocoa. Would have loved the opportunity to buy or try the fresh cacao pod. It was great to try the coffee and hot chocolate. The sales pitch for many different products at the end was a little too long and would have preferred more time instead in the earlier sections. (Just fyi it appears to be the one overall company that run all of the ziplines / buggies / monkeyland etc all in one location rather than smaller separate businesses)

5.00Our tour guide Sammy & Driver Pink, were brilliant from start to finish. Tour of the coconut plantation was interesting. The best part was the monkeys and the great length of interaction was had. We had a fantastic time, plenty of photo opportunities on your own camera and with a photographer (we brought all our photos $40). Brilliant time for children and adults. Highly recommend this trip.

5.00WHO: - bachelorette group WHAT: - interactive excursion WHERE: - Punta Cana WHEN: - Saturday October 4th 2025 EXPERIENCE: - FYI, I didn't book the experience, my sister did through Viator but I didn't know how to access to write a review on my experience on Viator so here I am on TripAdvisor - my sister booked this excursion for our group months in advance; we did the afternoon availability since we knew we would go clubbing Friday evening - we were picked up in a van at our hotel; our driver was Jose Carrasco - he was a driver and a karaoke singer - VERY entertaining - we arrived with multiple groups at Monkeyland and divided by language spoken/understood by the tour guides to give the safety presentation prior to our face time with the monkeys themselves; if you have belongings that need to be stored, you have the free option of leaving it in a basket or paying $5 for a lock to secure them in a locker - although the time with the monkeys was short, it was very heartwarming and cute and the views were stunning; the monkeys were so cute especially seeing the mothers with their babies - after the overall monkey interaction, we were taken back to the area where we were initially given the safety presentation to view the professional photos taken; there you have the opportunity to purchase the professional photos taken of your monkey interaction before proceeding to the next stage of the tour - the tasting of coffee, cocoa, and mama juana - the tasting was nice; you have to walk up a slight incline to get to the tasting area and then you're given the opportunity afterwards to buy local products (beauty and food products); we think it was a missed opportunity that the nut oil that claims to be a natural mosquito repellant wasn't advertised PRIOR to the start of the tour - when we were enroute to be taken back to our hotel, one person in our bus told Jose that she realized she was on the wrong bus back; he swiftly spoke to his colleagues and rendezvoused to a meetup with the correct bus to get that person back to her respective hotel
