Bayahibe is the port where we take you to take the speed boats or catamaran depending on the daily schedule, but you will definitely will do both on the same day
Saona Island
This is what we call The Natural Swimming pool, in between Saona Island and Dominican Republic, this is a spot where you will have a stop for drinks, photos and enjoying the amazing spot a few miles from the shore with a clear water about 3 feets deep, adults and kids can enjoy this

5.00Fantastic day outing @Saona Island, Alex., Mikey snd the entire team was absolutely the best Good food on the beach and constant supply of rum and coke with music

2.00Our day ended up being 12 hours. The tour company waited 45 minutes for 2 people at one stop and another 30 minutes for 4 people . The speed boat is the way to go . We had to transfer from speed boat to catamaran to speed again before we could get to shore .Makes no sense with 60 passengers it takes way too long . We did these transfers both ways . Also I would encourage people to go to bathroom on the catamaran verses on shore . Because Eduardo said go to the washroom we all waiting an extra 30 minutes on the bus. Bus driver Mickey was very kind and personable. Eduardo tour guide tried to keep the group on time but the transferring and waiting for boats was very frustrating. Have boats ready to go . We stood around a lot waiting. Too many people and boats to see any starfish at the natural pool. .location and water is beautiful. Once you reach the island find a lounge chair / not many available in shade . Again too many people in one small area of the island.Buffet food was amazing good variety and temp was fantastic. Drinks at bar were flowing . Like other reviews on this site ,be careful with the massage ladies they do state a price and time but seem to cut it short . Would recommend a smaller tour with less people on bus . I think there would be less waiting around .

From the music and drinks on the catamaran, the natural swimming pools and just the beauty of the island itself this trip is great for anyone visiting Dominican Republic and would recommend everyone to take the trip!

5.00An absolutely incredible day on Saona Island! We started with a boat crossing, then a beautiful catamaran ride. The landscapes are simply paradisiacal, between the turquoise water and the sandy beach. The breakfast offered was very good and well organized. Many thanks to our guide, really friendly, invested and attentive throughout the day. Thanks to him, the experience was even more beautiful. I recommend this excursion 100%!
