What To Expect
Palancar Reef
From starting point to here will be approximately 45 minutes. Wherein you were be able to snorkel for approximately 20-25 minutes. 5.00Ismael, Pedro, and Alex gave us a day to remember. Delicious food, great drinks, super kid friendly with our group of 14! Sting rays, turtles, underwater pictures make this one of the best excursions we have done and the water of Cozumel is to die for! If you are in town look these guys up!

5.00Great experience! Excellent guides took us to Palancar Reef where we saw a nurse shark and plenty of small fish. We proceeded to another spot where saw a turtle, jellyfish and starfish. Lastly swam at an unbelievable sand bar full of stingrays and beautiful fish. Highly recommend!

5.00The day started by getting a taxi to the Money Bar. Once there we were seated and filled out some paperwork, paid a marine sanctuary fee and waited for the tour to begin. There is a restaurant so we had some coffee while waiting. Once on board the boat we were given life jackets and given a safety brief. We had a long 30 minute ride to the first snorkel area. Snorkels were passed out and into the water with our very capable guide, Aldair. He guided our group to the underwater sites and took amazing photos of us and the fish. The water was rather rough but surprisingly everyone had a good time snorkeling. We stayed for a short time but definitely enough time. Then off to the next spot a short ways away. Again short stay but definitely enough time. Back on the boat we turn in the life jackets and relax for another short ride to the sandbar. Once at the sandbar we are met by sting rays swimming all over. It was so cool to get in the water and get up close…nothing to fear. As we are hanging out, Aldair pops in the water with a surfboard carrying beers, soda, ceviche and tortilla chips. It was absolutely fabulous. Jonathan and Captain Luis bartended from the boat and served a delicious rum punch and not so good margaritas. It was fun to talk to the other guests in the water as we hung out and ate and drank. After a lovely stay at the sandbar bar it was back in the boat for a leisurely ride back with music and dancing and more drinks (water bottles were also available). Before arriving back to the Money Bar, Aldair offered to sell the photos he took of our group, including videos and stills of sea life we saw which included sea turtle, shark, sea stars and sting rays. There is no pressure to buy and the cost was $100 but really some of the best photos we’ve ever had from a snorkel adventure. We felt safe and had a really wonderful time. Thank you Aldair, Jonathan and Captain Luis. Once back at the money Bar we were able to grab some loungers and relaxed, ate really amazing snacks and drinks, got amazing massages from some lovely ladies and took a dip in the water. You can snorkel but beware it is not a beach and it is rocky but the snorkeling Is really good here too.
